Riddlin'
No, not the drug that makes hyper kids normal, good old fashion question and answer! Mods can decide if the riddle is legit, if they care to. If not, then by popular decision of forum members. Oh, and no "what have i got in my pocket" stuff, Tolkien fans...
I'll start:
"Feed me and i live,
but give me a drink, and i die"
If you answer, post new riddle.

"Science fiction wiggers" is my new favorite phrase.
"You'd better be prepared for the jump into hyperspace. It's unpleasantly like being drunk."
-"What's so unpleasant about being drunk?"
"Ask a glass of water."
-Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Lol i'm thinking of an old game with some great riddles... here's one:
It goes up white,
But comes down yellow and white.
It goes up white,
But comes down yellow and white.

Uh, three people have posted riddles before you asked this... want to be more specific?Bloodgeon11 wrote:I give up...tell me.
Here's five great personification riddles from the same game:
Has tongue,
But cannot talk.
Runs,
But cannot walk.
Has a tongue,
But never talks.
Has no legs,
But sometimes walks.
Its orange eye blinks.
The burning tears flow.
But what its sorrow is,
None may ever know.
Six legs, two heads,
two hands, one long nose.
Yet he uses only four legs
wherever he goes.
You hear it speak,
For it has a hard tongue.
But it cannot breathe,
For it has not a lung.

Here's six more of my favs from that game:
Black when bought.
Red when used.
Grey when thrown away.
Brought to the table.
Cut and served.
Never eaten.
Bloodless and boneless
it travels about.
Yet it never leaves home.
He got it in the woods and
brought it home in his hand
because he couldn't find it.
The more he looked for it the
more he felt it. When he finally
found it he threw it away.
Holes at the top.
Holes at the bottom.
Holes in the middle.
But still it holds water.
It can move over water,
But cannot fly.
It can move under water,
But stay quite dry.

Er... ok, these six are the last ones I'm posting here... really!
Plow and hoe, reap and sow,
What soon does every farmer grow?
Round as an apple,
Deep as a cup,
All the Bitter Sea,
Can't fill it up.
The language of men
can be mastered.
But what English word
is always pronounced wrong?
This sparkling globe
can float on water,
and weighs not more
than a feather.
Yet despite its weight
ten giants could
never pick it up.
When people come for me to meet,
They come to me with heavy feet.
The one I hold,
When I get my chance,
Will turn and spin,
And start to dance.
With flashing sword and booming cry,
With darkness staining land and sky,
The army comes, prepared to die.
Soldiers fall in glistening dress,
As battles are joined without egress,
Save comfort in the earth's caress.

1.
I am born to kill
But I'll be your friend when you're sad!
Promise it will be painless
Hope you fucking die
2.
Great Sphincer control!
I go into dirty places when others are mad
You'll probably enjoy it
3.
To tell the truth you never wanted me
and yet you can't leave me
I shape you
you're nothing but an ant without me
You fucking OH SHIT I HEAR THE ICE CREAM TRUCK!!!!!111!1111oneone
And then, there are those classic riddles riddles from Betrayal At Krondor. A bit more subtle then mine. clever, too:
Although my cow is dead,
I continue to beat her.
What a racket she makes!
Bloodless and boneless
it travels about.
Yet it never leaves home.
Flat as a leaf,
Round as a ring,
Has two eyes,
But can't see a thing
Has feathers
but can't fly.
Rests on legs
but can't walk.
Gotta love the BaK riddles. I could go on and on, but I'm hoping it'll make some of you new-age gamers go look for the game in the abandonware(it's now a freeware! Kreegle can't touch me!) sites. Those of you who did play the game and already know the answers, hold your fucking mouth shut.
