I hate when I'm not able to do every single quest in the game.

That's why I never really liked Arcanum - the path you chose restricted you from many others.

Why should you be able to complete a mage's quest when you're a hardcore technologist?

That's like saying I want to role play as a dreaded SS member in an upcoming World War 2 cRPG then play all the quests intended for some U.S. tank commander.

Kashluk wants to have his cake and eat it too.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

Hey, I just want to take everything out of my purchase, games aren't free you know... and in case I get bored in the future / I get new and shinier games and I don't have the time to start a new character, it would be fun to explore as many side-quests and npc dialogues as possible.

True, I shouldn't be able to do mage's quests when I'm a hardcore technologist, but if you're neutral and have taken both science and magic skills, you CAN complete the mage's quests. This is the sucky part of Arcanum - you CAN do the stuff, but it requires you to be of level 25 (more like 30 in fact  ) or so and it takes *ages* to get there. Call me lazy or just plain stupid, but that was a point I didn't like in that game.

You're lazy and stupid.

It's extremely easy to reach levels twenty-five or thirty in Arcanum.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

Well thank you, you too!

Edit: oh, and I was thinking of some other game, I thought 30 was the maximum in Arcanum but I just remembered it's 50... So I meant that everything's possible WHEN you reach level 45 or so, but it takes ages to get that experienced.

I usualy play the good guy who saves everyone, is kind to everyone, and tries to do "good" by helping those who need aid.

OR IS THAT JUST HOW MOST RPGS GO? I can never remember/

in pc, i prefer to play somebody wich uses som magic, u kno, cause it's pretty boring shooting/beating/fragging people with simple weapons. if there's tech skills to be used, i'll never hesitate to use them.

but anyways, i prefer the good type, helping persons whenever i find them (cause i can always ask them for favors later ;)) i think it's something like an oportunistic, good hearted guy.

my favorite d&d class (if somebody cares) is bard, they rule!

Because they sing and no one wants to be a fucking homo who sings to an enemy so they wouldn't attack him? better yet, you're so fucking weak you need to entice monsters to attack each other instead of you. Nice going, you spoony bard, you.

I usually first play a game as a tank, crushing everything that's evil, since that's the most easy way to complete an average crpg. When I like the game it I try to do the evil path after that, usually with a diplomacy focused character.

I played a Slaver in Fallout 2 who did hits for the Mafia and pretty much killed those NCR Ranger people who got in my way more than once.

I sold Sulik to Vault City and never looked back.

Before I saw the light of Fallout, I used to play a Ranger-esque dude, good yet capable of handing out an ass kicking.

Post Fallout, I realize that it's much more fun playing as a intelligent, charismatic dude. (For the first Fallout, I always send my Luck down to 1. Don't know why. :? )

I like ranged combat (dont want to get blood stains on the shinny armor) with good speech and a little bit of thieving. I´m also neutral in my quests altough if I have to choose I follow the good path.

In fallout, I generally choose a warrior character loyal to the brotherhood of steel and the vault itself; all other people were secondary if necessary they would be eliminated.

In the more RPGs i play lately, when my fellow companion dies yet I survive the battle i press on and take any goods that he may have to be useful. I got tired of reloading all the time trying to keep all the original party members, if they die there dead.

Especially in games that I have already beaten and realized their worthlessness do I do this. (ie: fallout)
