My new avatar is me. I am all orangy because orange is the best color ever. I added barcode lines to it because it looks really neat, especially when the contrast of the image is upped.

I think it looks nicer than the old one. Not that the old one was bad but this new one's a lot more Fallouty with it's orange hue. Did you use photoshop or something?

Oh, I agree. My old one was good, but it was too plain and white.

And yeah, Photoshop is my tool of the trade. It wasn't all that hard, actually. I just made a new layer, added noise, did a motion blur (at 999) downward, and upped the contrast. That's how you make barcodes. Then I did a Linear Burn transparency with that layer over the original picture and finally made a last layer, filled it with orange, and set it to multiply.

Sounds complicated, I know, but it really isn't.

Talking about Pirated Software on these DAC forums is a "no-no"....Causes threads to be locked.

Plus, Photoshop is a good enough program to actually buy...If you get it in a bundle..Man...5 programs at a time for about $950...If you've got a student ID, I mean.

It's okay..I bet 90% of the people here used a pirated copy of Photoshop at one point or another.

I was probably just one of the few to actually buy it....Had to have it for my Graphic's Design BFA.

Is it Photoshop LE/SE? Those are chopped down versions of Photoshop. I got the full version in bulk with a bunch of desktop publishing tools.

The one thing I refuse to pay for is Quark Xpress...The price for that is just insane despite the functionality.

I'll write and illustrate my children's books with Adobe products until I make some big money.

BTW, look for Ryno The Dennyszen : An Adult's Children's Book at bookstores sometime soon..I'm in the process of getting it published.
