FO3 iplot idea
Soldier87, dieirlplz.
Anyways, I was thinking about the Unity thing, it might make a nice story with the ideas in my brain..
Basically, I had an idea that the PC in Fallout 3 would find a lockbox with broken holodiscs in them, and get them repaired and stuff and then listen.
After listening and finding out the origin of them and everything, he discovers they are pre-recordings of The Master's speeches...
Now, the idea I had off this, was that The Master was really a programmed machine all along, part of an experiment (Perhaps the President and an early Enclave group?) to set up a super-mutant conversion of the mainlanders. After the conversion failed thanks to Senior Vault Dweller, the Enclave switched to a 'Plan B' and decided to clean off the mainland. For 20 years (If I remember the time between FO1 and 2 right) they built their armies, planned their attacks and set everything up to begin their clense and then the Chosen One f's them up.
The wrench in the cogs with this idea is Harold's first-hand experience of Richard Grey taking a dive. Maybe they can shell him off as a deliusional test subject for FEV mutations that didnt go as planned(remember, he was a mutant, sorta).
Perhaps Richard Grey was truely banished from Vault City for trying to start the FEV mutation stuff in Vault City and then went on to fire it up at the Military Base and then The Master being his baby machine would sorta work, just feed in his personal info and play it off as him while hiding behind it (Sorta like Bishop in Aliens and Alien 3, he was a shady corporate worker who made the Bishop line of machines which were all friendly, I know that probably doesnt make sense with that analogy, but bear with my stupidity).
Then, there could be different ways for the Enclave and the President to become the backers of the FEV program, maybe Richard was the founder of The Enclave? Who knows..lots of possibilities..
Then have this tie in with Fallout 3's storyline, perhaps there is another sinister dealing on the horizon, which again, can be many things when linked with my ideas. It would more than likely bring the story's main objectives clear and probably be a 'do this/get that' like Fallout 1 and 2's over-arching 'plot' was.
Just thinkin'.
