<html><body><P>It’s been kind of slow lately, but new stuff is coming. I promise. In the meantime I’m going to update on what’s happening in the world of <A HREF=http://www.stalker-game.com/ target=_blank>S.T.A.L.K.E.R.</A>. The German game site <A HREF=http://www.krawall.de/artikel.php?s=&artikel_id=7916 target=_blank>Krawall.de</A> scored an interview with Andrew Prokhorov, lead designer at <A HREF=http://www.gsc-game.com/index.php target=_blank>GSC Game World</A>. Here are a few highlights translated by <A HREF=http://oblivion-lost.xu2.net/en/index.php target=_blank>Oblivion-Lost</A>:</P><blockquote><em><UL><LI> The intro will give you information about who you are, what the Zone is and about your objectives. In your first mission a special character will wait for you and teach basic things about the game in a training-mission. In contrast to other tutorials, he won't tell you all the keys-setting. It'll only be a simple training-mission outside the Zone and tell you that you have to reach the center of The Zone.<LI> Key characters who are important for the plot can't be killed.<LI> Communication: Communicating with normal characters will be kept simple with words like "Hello!". You'll meet the character and after he'll deposit his gun, a trade-window will pop up. After that you can start trading. Simple means that there won't be too many face animations and phrases. However it's the other way round with key characters. They'll even have voice output.<LI> There will be maps having anomalies marked on them.</UL></em></blockquote><P>A new preview also popped up at <A HREF=http://pc.totalgames.net/(k14o3sudlydrq ... /pma/17815 target=_blank>TotalGames</A> which briefly discusses the setting and freedom to go anywhere in the game world.</P></body></html>

hi there folks, haven't been here for A while.
as far as MP goes, there was some nice report of what smb saw at E3 (was it smb from the oblivion-lost.com?) and it can still be found in case anyone has forgotten/has not read it. From what I remember the MP should be enjoyable and innovative (err... is that English?).
