Frank Horrigan's Armor?

Discuss the game that started it all, and its sequel. Technical questions and issues go into the Fallout Technical Support forum, not here.

Frank Horrigan's Armor?

Post by Fetus »

I turned on the mod that allows for this and it states that it's "stashed away in the Den somewhere". OK. So where *is* it? I looked everywhere in the Den and couldn't find it, corners of walls, shelves, ect.

http://www.gamefaqs.com has a large number of walkthroughs for Fallout 2, and one of them is bound to cover this issue. Even if not, it will probably still be of a lot more help to you than these forums. Just a suggestion.

Raksha he's talking about a mod he downloaded, gamefaqs won't help him. Personally, I tried that mod, and found it idiotic that the maker "hid" the armor. I didn't look very hard for it, and figured if someday I really want to wear the armor, I'd just mess with the graphics myself in my own mod.

The Horrigan armor is pretty worthless anyway..Nothing special..You're just big. But you can't use pistols, and there's certain weapons you can use..Plus, you move really really really slowly.

As for finding it...I got the Generous Klint mod...Klint has the armor, and he'll give it to you.

I thought the armour was hidden in Klamath somewhere.

Yeah that's right it was Klamath. And that's where I looked and afterward I wanted to castrate whoever made that stupid mod. I wanted to go to the den kids and step on them.

Is Klint someone in Klamath?

No, Klint is that guy who's blocking your way at the very start of the game, forcing you to go through the temple of trials. Best item you can get from him is the black hole though.

i gave up trying to find it in that one mod, i took the klint mod and tweaked it to another npc since i was at the end of the game and my village was gone by the time i even looked at any mods, tweaking it was simple by renaming the file to another npc, i choose the drunk greeter in klamath as the guy got the armor np.

have a plasma rifle fyi or other heavy duity weapon when you don the armor or your invisible, but you can trick the game to equip other stuff ;) once you get the armor on and visible, i have the turbo plasma rifle equipped in one slot say, i put the armor on i then hit the toggle slot button, i have a gauss rifle in my other slot, it wont toggle but if you hit the combat mode then go out volia you have a gauss rifle equipped and your visible but it shows you holding his arm weapon not a rifle ;). i havent tried with other weapons as those 2 are my fav but ill fire up try with a pistol or something sometime, if you go into your inventory with a weapon equipped that isnt allowed by defualt tho you will vanish and you have to unequip the armor and switch to the plasma rifle in my case then don the armor and etc. btw that armor rocks ;) the 10 al dont matter when its got 90% damage resist, was messing around in the final base and crit from a gauss rifle was 30some, with power armor on it was like 60some i recall, gonna ply with it more later see if npc can don the stuff since it protecets even better than power armor for kicks.

i assume this should work for others, i have tweaked some other stuff, been messing around with modding last few days and changed a few things but think basically the hannigon armor/klint mod, i use the klint mod, hasnt been altered in any way that i get a bug you shouldnt get, so anyone else try this out let people know if it works in general know it works for me. if i can figure out a few things i would like to put the hannigon armor in as a real item but heh been messing with the game mods for all of like 3 days now and still trying to figure some stuff out ;).

punctuation whats that ;P?!

if i write a term paper or someting for work i do and gosh i'll even spell check. not that it would have caught horrigan, other than it was an unknown word. typing online i don't give a much care about either, just passing on some info before i went to bed.

also it does work on blasters and stuff.

And I'd thank you for the info, if I could make sense of your post. Maybe it's a language barrier thing or something, but I honestly don't understand half the sentences you've used, mainly due to the way you've used punctuation. But I'm probably a minority here, so don't mind me overly much, especially since I'm not interested in the info anyway. Fotunately, since I've missed most of it :p

If you don't care enough to make your posts readable, then why bother posting at all?

I have a theory, but since I'm trying to establish a "nice girl"-persona here, I'll just go ahead and keep it to myself ;)

I guess that makes it the language barrier then? Hm... is this where I start whining about lack of consideration for non-native speakers online? :)

No, we've just been desensitized to poor typing habits. Lucky us.
