From the FAQ page:
How does combat work?
Fighting can be carried out in real time using the auto pause function and the auto behavior settings. The auto pause function enables the player to stop the action after certain events in order to more easily give orders. The player can decide if and when the fighting should be paused (e.g., “enemy sighted”, “character was hit”, “character has less then 10% life left” and so on). With the behavior sets, the player can customize the AI of his characters if he wants to (“stay in the background”, “use mainly throwing weapons”, “seek cover if enemy sighted” and so on). Through this function an optimal control over the characters is possible an all-combat situations.

You can turn the pause thing off, right?

anyway, some things sound at least intriguing: "non-linear story(...)lifelike daily routines for every single NPC /peeing?

oh shit, just spotted "I must point out “turn-based” combat is more along the lines of the Baldur’s Gate pause and play system" errr... I thought this pause thing was merely a part of the RT mode...
oh well, it might still be good. I'm not particularly enthusiastic bout the engine, though.
edit: this madmax2-like sshot with a lying bus... isn't a big FLAMETHROWER there? So, say, plenty of gas in a post-apoc world to shoot with? Sheesh...
and uhm.. just in case some lazy ass haven't found it:
Attributes and skills
Each character has six attributes and 14 skills that reflect its capabilities. While the attributes are of a rather inherent nature and are hard to improve, the skills describe the special abilities of a character, and these can be enhanced enormously by practice.
The attributes can have values between 1 and 20, the attributes range from 1 to 99. The higher the value, the more distinctive the related ability of the character is.
