Lucky sods, they've released Hidden & Dangerous Deluxe as a free download where as poor mugs like me with only a dial up connection will have to pre-order H&D2 to get our free copy on CD.

It looks like some kind of squad-level action game. IGN scored it like a 7.6 or something when they reviewed it. When I get home, I'll download it and give it a shot. A free game is a free game, even if it's mediocre.

It's a WWII first/third person tactical shooter, it's a good game, though the original release was buggy as hell. They've released it as a free download to keep interest in H&D2 alive.

Let's hope the deluxe version is alot better, I installed the first one a few months ago and after about 2 levels I couldn't stand the bugs and shit.

I've been downloading the file for 2 hours now...I've got 9.98MB...I'm on broadband....With a regular modem, you'll be downloading as fast as this...Slow server, or overloaded server.

With my connection it's telling me that it will take 300 odd hours to download, but then I've had to switch to Opera because IE was taking 10 mins to open a topic on DaC and I couldn't use smartDark with IE anymore because it would just hang forever.

The annoying thing is I bought it last year on the budget label xplosive but I can't patch it to 1.3 (the patch that comes with the deluxe version) because it then won't recognise the cd.

How lucky I am. My broadband sucks, it runs at the same speed as a 56K for god sakes! Meh, that's what I get.
