HomeLan On The Fall

And yet another interview with Silver Style’s Carsten Strehse has materialized. This time HomeLan Fed sat down to ask some questions about The Fall:

HomeLAN - What sort of NPCs and enemies will be seen in the game?

Carsten Strehse - The player will meet members of a new Government and the President, different sorts of gangs, Indians, mutants and a lot of other very interesting groups and freaks. Mostly it’s up to the player if he fights against them or decides to talk his way through.

HomeLAN - What other unique gameplay elements will The Fall have?

Carsten Strehse - Well, The Fall has a lot of unique and creative ideas. For example the battle system is something very special. We integrated an advanced Auto-Pause system, behavior sets for the AI of the characters and some other very special features. I can’t tell too much about it, but I’m very sure that RT and TB fans both will be very satisfied with it. We are also proud that we created a complete believable end-time world. The Fall has more than 1000 NPCs, all with their own “life”, opinions, relationships to other NPCs etc.. We reach a new level of atmosphere in RPGs with that feature. The possibility to build up vehicles and weapons is also a quite interesting feature. Depending on his engineering skill a character is able to build complete new items, weapons or to improve them. It’s also very cool to weld some metal on your buggy so that it can be used by six people instead of four for example.

Don’t forget to check out the four new screenshots as part of the interview.

Who cares. I want my own fortress with it. No fortress. No buy.

What would you do with your own fortress in an RPG? Sit around and not go anyplace? Sit around and not advance the story? Woo hoo! This is my house! Now I can stop playing!

Good idea. >_>

It would be cool to store stuff with your fortress home, but you can probably do that anywhere. I thought Silver was being sarcastic.

A fortress could give you sooo much more. Workshop with good spaced vehicle depot, train your characters, plan operations kind of like that in SoA, only more interactive, and not so open spaced.

I wasn't.
