You're an chowderhead, no doubt about it. D: So what's your definition of a good cult movie Mandalorian?
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

Definately. Without giving too much away, it's about members of a teenage gang that get framed for the murder of the uber gang leader. So all the other gangs turn against them and they have to fight their way across the city to reach the safety of their turf.

The Warriors is worth watching for the wardrobe alone.

By the way, there are people out there who dress up as Star Wars figures, does this make Star Wars cult despite the fact that it has an enormous general appeal?

Also, the Matrix has a cult following who like to dress up as Neo and jump off buildings to prove they're the one...is it cult?

And Lord of the Rings, which inherented a huge cult following out of the books. Is it cult?

the second matrix movie was retarded and the ending just totally turned the movie to shit. it may be a cult but its a cult of punk assed teens who think they are immortal and can fly.

Cult yes, but there's cult and cult. I think the obsession is the main factor not whether it's mainstream or not or even if it's any good. Many cult films attract their following because they're so bad they become slightly good.

the fans make the cult B)))))))

Like star-trek is fairly mainstream, but people who dress as spoc aren't? I think anything with a community devoted to whatever is pretty cultish, like fallout, the bible or marylin manson? I dunno, bizarro to hell!

Not likely. Those bone crests are more uncomfortable than Klingon foreheads. :)

Bone crests? Holy shit, I always thought they were silly festive hats. Go figure, I watched like two episodes of that shit before driving my eyes out with a rusty screwdriver.

Donnie Darko may be my favorite cult movie, if it can classified as that. I haven't seen many cult movies, though.

Pieces is my favourite cult movie, it's so cult it doesn't even HAVE a cult following as far as I can tell. It's about this kid who gets caught by his mom putting together an (OMG) naked girl puzzle (he's like 10?) and she flips out and tells him to get a garbage bag so she can destroy the LOADS of porn he has stashed around his room. So, instead of getting a garbage bag he comes back and axes her in the head, then cuts her head off, then gleefully finishes his puzzle. When the police get there he pretends it was some crazy guy and gets away with it.

So, then in like 30 years or something he goes crazy again and starts cutting up local college girls to make a real life jigsaw puzzle out of them. It's pretty cool because he always waits until they're not quite clothed to mess with their shit. Lotta sexploitation, a LOT of blood (not as much as a typical zombie movie, but oh well D: ) and not a lot of plot. The way a movie should be. You can probably pick up this gem, if interested, for like 5 bucks on dvd... i actually got it in a pack of 4 movies for 11 dollars. Definately worth all 11, i'd say.

Edit : http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... 46-9609728

Ha there's the compilation thing, it's really great. I've only even watched two of the movies from it - Pieces and Kiss Me Kill Me, and they were both awesome. KMKM is best described as 80's softcore lesbian dominatrix porn... but really it's insane... hard to describe. Reminds me of a cross between Suspiria and like, um... this Lucio Fulci movie House by the Cemetary. Great stuff ++

I think it was before independant films. I'm pretty sure it was italian... italian horror films are the ++ because of the gore hollywood couldn't show, and the fact they can't write plots for shit.
