Movie Trilogies

Post by Phias »

Well, they're finally putting the entire Indianna jones movies on DVD. What other movie trilogies are good, or great or stupendous or something?

Mad Max
Evil Dead

Those were my personal 2 favorites. So what trilogies extract praise and acclaim from you?

Tremors and Back to the Future are the pinnacle of movie trilogies.

"The man with no name" trilogy of Westerns are positively some of the best cinema to come out of Italy.

They made two sequals to Tremors? Blimey I knew that they had made a second but not a third.

I was going to say the Hellraiser films but I think they've made a load that haven't been released over here.

Aren't there like 4 tremors movies? The last one is like made for Sci-Fi? Or is that just the series? Anyway... the second and third are retarded as far as I'm concerned. Can't stand them.

Back to the Future II is the best movie ever to own on lazerdisk though, I'm gonna buy it some day. Wishes D:

Not really trilogies, but here are some movie sets I'd like to see bundled together:

1. Waterworld, Postman, Stalker

2. Gattaca, Minority Report, Total Recall

3. The Lost Boys, Interview w/the Vampire, Bram Stoker's Dracula

4. Cry Baby, Edward Scissor Hands, Ed Wood

5. Dead Man, Dances w/Wolves, Tombstone

6. Flight Of The Navigator, Labyrinth, Legend

7. Batteries Not Included, Short Circuit, Short Circuit 2

Number Johnny 5 can kick ETs ass. Star WArs trilogy is cool cause when the baxes are all together in order in the case it's Darth Vader's helmet mask thing.

There is a Tremors series and they're also making a 4th movie. The series didn't do very well but the movies as we all know are classics.

Trilogies...

Terminator(s)
Back to the Future(s)
Rambo(s)
Die Hard(s)
Original Star Wars

There's also

Porkies :)
Deathwish
Jaws

Though I'm not sure how many Jaws movies they made in the end.

Porky's is already out in trilogy form, I believe....I know the first two are available in a bundle because I got that not too long ago. Was there a third Porky's?

Also, on Johnny Five...Bender can kick his ass...I read a story on some web page that did a death match between Bender and J5..Funny shit.

Also the third Matrix flick. I'm gonna get those three movies on a trilogy DVD set too.

The man with no name trilogy
Evil dead trilogy
Indiana Jones trilogy
Rambo Trilogy
Back to the Future Trilogy
Terminator Trilogy

I like all these trilogys, usually being consistently good and the weaker sequels not being too bad either. I also own them all on DVD lolololol

I don't really care about lotr, but I'd like to see the matrix. It's a bit inconsistent though, this years sequels seem to be 'WOW THE FIRST MOVIE WAS A TRAILER FOR THIS DUDE, WE FORGOT TO TELL YOU!' Mad max wasn't too bad but the 1st one kind of sucked, so did the third. And the aliens quadrilogy is alright if half of it didn't exist. The texas chainsaw massacre trilogy isn't too bad, but it's not too good either.

Man with no name AKA "Dollar" trilogy (best...trilogy...ever)
Godfather trilogy
Mad Max trilogy
Terminator Trilogy
Clerks/Mallrats/Chasing Amy (yes, this is a trilogy, and good one, up until Chasing Amy, which was piss)

However, if you count Indiana Jones and Mad Max, which will have 4th installments soon (I hope, at least for Max), and Tremors, which already has a 4th installment, I'd add Aliens too, and it also gives me great pleasure not to count the last part.

Die Hard and Rambo are really cool too. Matrix is piss, LotR is uninteresting.

Matrix isn't that bad... it's cliche, but it seems more cliche now than it was when it came out. It's still entertaining, so who gives a flying fuck? NOT MEEEEE. :-!

What about some sucky trilogies? Does the Leprechaun series have three movies? I know it's sucky, but not if it's a trilogy.
