I'm not so sure about radiation not turning you into an undead zombie.

Remember we are talking about the Fallout 50's sci fi comic setting.

Yea, that is one of the better features, but they use alot of modern terms and ideas, too. Like genetic manipulation, cloning, etc.

The thing that puzzles me is that were Vault 12 inhabitants(ghouls) affected by 'normal' radiation(from the bombs) or by FEV(from the Glow, or some other facility). In case of FEV, that would make them similar to Super Mutants, well almost.

Velox121, don't worry so much about if it's logical or not, Fallout is not based in our own universe. In case of a nuclear war, we'll all be dead.

I believe it goes like this,

Super Mutants - Super Mutants are otherwise clean humans(the radiation they might already have somewhat counteracts the effects of FEV) dipped in FEV, a virus used to increase muscle mass overall strength and stamina causing a loss in intelligence to some super mutants(lietenant and pretty much everybody in Broken Hills) and sterility in nearly everybody(marcus can still get some)

Ghouls - Ghouls are mainly from Vault 12 in Fallout 1. There Vault opened early and the inhabatants were subject to large doses of radiation still lingering from the bomb. They experience a loss of Muscle and size but experience and increase in Perception(FOT) and Intelligence(somewhat in my opinion most ghouls are smart)

Then it was probably stupid to call myself a baby ghoul. Because becoming a ghoul is probably a very long process, and if the kid is exposed to mutated by radiation FEV, he still would have time to grow till his adulescence. And immune system and radiation resistence of small kids is normally higher.

So, help to find out more about my biography.
But actually I think we can start the hole new topic about FEV and the kids in fallout : there are kids, but none of them was dipped? that's unlogical.

ewwwwwwww....grave digging.

Why would you dip a kid though? Kids are weaker physically and if there's a chance of a normal adult having his intelligence lowered to that of kid, what's the kid going to turn out like?

He'll be Rain Man...Definately a ghouly, yeah, definately...

Maybe with the rapid healing rate of a child, a kid that got dipped would take to it a lot better than a physically deteriorating adult? It'd be smaller in frame, maybe, but it could be super strong and smart because of the adaptability of children.

Dip a few stem cells, maybe?

Yes, that's me. 8)
Now I'm gonna tell a secret about my origin. My mother was dipped when she was already pregnant.
To make it even more spicy, I tell you this: she was inprisonned by mutants already, they prepared to dip her, nevertheless they new that there are no proper sprites for a female supermutant in FO, but they were going to make a revolutionary mod, Now ... So one day, she was sitting in her cell, suddenly BOOM  , the door blown in peaces and there he was - The Vault Dweller. He was so horny from all that blood scenes and surprised to see a Beautiful human Lady, so he just raped her.
Then she was dipped, because the Lieutenant manage to kick dweller's balls and dip him too ( but another Vault dweller ( 26th) was already on his way), but my mother died bacause the frm was wrongly rendered and sorted, but I manage to survive... that's the peace of my history. ;)

That's why it's called Role Playing, you have to imagine your role, otherwise you gonna miss all the fun playing RPGs.

Aren't the centaurs, like, a bunch of animals fused together, like in Grey's tape when he talks about his experiments? dog, brahmin, ect.? And i can't even imagine a what goes into a floater...snake? Fish? no clue. btw, on the rping, most of the community members get pissed if you take your char outside of the rp forum...come to the arena! we can always use another, since almost noone plays there anymore...ah, the good old days of arch, avenger, BBM, S_F, and Blarg...

Yeah, centaurs are pretty much that. I'm not sure about floaters though, but a snake / flatworm thing seems to make a lotta sense.

Well, if you look at the first 20-30-odd pages of the Arena I was quite active. However time sucks, and I ran out of it to post long RPing posts in it.
