I liked Chasing Amy as well as Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma, and Strike Back...
But you guys are forgetting the master trilogy of all time: Jurassic Park!! Oh wait they all suck except for number 1. And you guys know they're making a fourth one? OMG!
Up and coming trilogies:
Blade
Resident Evil
Underworld
Those are all I know for sure, I'm sure there's others like spiderman, etc.

I fanatically liked Jurassic Park #1. I was like six years old and obsessed with those little plastic dinosaurs, what do you expect? But, yeah, the sequels all sucked, and a #4 sounds idiotic.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

The name escapes me at the moment (fuck, I don't even know if it's a trilogy) but I'd love to get the Musashi Miyamoto story by Akira Kurosawa--basically it's his telling of one of the greatest samurai of all time and the lead-in to one of his greatest battles. And though it isn't a trilogy, I'd like to have Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail, Life of Brian, and Meaning of Life.

Ehehehe, indeed starfury, I almost forgot: Critters (which has four parts), coolest horror-spoof series ever. Kicks Gremlin ass.
also, Clerks/Mallrats/Chasing Amy are considered to be part of a "Mallrats" (or whatever you like to call it)-trilogy, Dogma and Jay & Silent Bob are seperate instalments. And as Kevin Smith is droping the J&SB thing completely now...Anyway, so yeah, the classic Clerks, lesser Classic Mallrats and piss-film Chasing "I'd rather be fucked up the ass by a negro than watch this again" Amy are a trilogy.

The Omen series (I' m not sure if there' s only three of them, might be more) is pretty good, perhaps even better than the Exorcist.
Oh, and definitly the Planet of the Apes ones (ok, I know there are six of them).
Going to buy: Indianna Jones, Mad Max and Alien trilogy. Deffinitly.
