How come we've left out the ALIEN series? I know it stoped being a trilogy in 1997 when RESURRECTION was released.
Can't we just pretend that the third one never happened? I honestly believe (and will probably risk the wrath of many here) that it was greatly sub-par and undeserving of a place amongst the others, aside from the fact that it serves as connective tissue between the ever so quoted ALIENS "Game over man!" and the darkly funny yet intriguing RESURECTION.
Or better yet, we can take Aliens 3 and loan it to PREDATOR and PREDATOR 2 and make that a trilogy.
I was sorely disapointed in Predator 2 I believe that because of the lackluster box office performance and harsh critical reviews the possibility of what had been hinted at towards the end of the film never came to pass: A PREDATOR vs. ALIEN movie. I nearly wet my pants when during the final showdown between Danny Glover and the Predator, the showcase on the wall of the starship prominently displays an Alien skull among the other assorted trophies.

The most requested/anticipated movie trilogy of all time on DVD is the original Star Wars saga (not the prequels).
Most of what you guys have all suggested are already on DVD. Some of it, like the Aliens Anthology (which I own) is OOP (out of print).
I think they are getting ready to re-release it again though.

The 9-disc Alien box has been announced here ages ago. 1 disc per movie, original version and 1 per movie, directors cut, makes 8 discs. I remember it having something like...24-36 hours of extras?BlackDog wrote:I think they are getting ready to re-release it again though.
