Well, I do think going public was the worst possible thing for Interplay to do, and they have seem to declined in nearly every area since then. I think one of the reasons Titus bought up all those shares of Interplay was to establish more credibility, because Interplay didn't really have too many truly awful games from the 1980s through the time they went public. Only Descent to Undermountain comes to mind. Of course, Interplay did make some bonehead choices, like turning down publishing Doom 2.
