Fallout, I played the demo off of Boot (the magazine that became Maximum PC) & had to get thisgame upon release. I've played many games including text based RPG's back in the day & I love turn based strategy games as well ... but man-o-man this one took thecake. Argh! I kicked my keyboard off the couch whenI crashed out onit & the spacebar is mostly fubar annoying to type at 5 words a min.

I'd have to say I prefer Fallout 1 - it was what I had been looking for since Wasteland.. Fallout 2 was a bit of a dissapointment (by comparison - although FO2 did have the best NPC).

Also, for those playing Arcanum -

Try the half-ogre "Ran Away With the Circus". Immediate 20 str and more, and they can do some severe damage.

Downside, sometimes less rewards of a monetary nature.

Upside, some different quests and even a lot more experience. Can't do the mine quest from the first town by talking to the guy, no patience for you at all. The trader with info in the first town gave me a LOAD of exp when I traded in the boot, camera, got the location of Tarant (getting a full level of exp to 7). Then I just swiped the camera back.
