Donnie Darko is more interesting in concept than it is in reality, since it's full of problems. It is, however, something that you have to watch.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

I hated it, personally.

"Hm, if I went back in time, yeah, that'd fix it."
poof motherfucker
"Look at that. I went back in time."

Donnie Darko didn't do it for me, wasn't the least bit interesting. The Fast and the Furious was more entertaining, and that's not saying much.

I hate you, Vin Diesel.

Boondock Saints rocked, however, the sequel is shaping up to be sheeit, unfortunately.

You mean the sequal is still shaping up to be anything in the first place? They should dump that project.

High-budget sequels to low-budget films are generally a bad idea. See Desperado.

No, no, chief, they gave him drugs in combination with hours of violent footage so that he'd become hideously sick whenever he saw violence.

And amen to that, Kharn, even if they made it under the same conditions, a sequel isn't a good idea for Troy Duffy, the story should be left where it is. I feel it's the same with The Matrix, if it was left alone after the first film, it would be considered more of an achievement and a visionary flick. Now it's an overdone piece of pop culture.

It's a major cash out.

And btw, he's calling you a moron. Donnie Darko apparently went way over your head.

Has anyone here seen Better Luck Tommorrow? I heard it was a good movie, but I can't find it at the library, so I want to know if it's worth renting.

ugh, I just saw this movie (see avatar) and right after decided to write a review because my sleep patterns suck and i need a few reviews for my writers' craft class so figured wut teh hey
Although the movie is entertaining, it lacks the slickness and originality of greater films (Pulp Fiction) but definitely a cut above the rest and the other typical mainstream mob/crime fluff flicks of past/present and no doubt future. A great movie but a little shy of becoming a cult classic. The sequel that's still in post-production will no doubt dilute the importance of this movie but it would be very hard not creating another entertaining film in the same vein as this. Now that the quick verdict is through, onto to the reasoning:

Maybe some DACers actually liked Waterworld? I know I did, though the ending sucked.

Or am I actually the only person in the world who liked it?

In the filming of waterworld it was near hawaii so like the stunt devil that lived on hawaii would just ride his jet ski everymorning to one of the shoot islands and one day he never showed up and they found only the jet ski. Anyways the movie wasn't that good.

Kevin Costner is a horrible actor.
Every movie he's in, he ruins. I have no idea how he keeps getting parts.

Well, maybe he isn't that bad in some parts, but that's only because the character is just like him.

That movie came out when I was like, eight years old and even then I knew it was a piece of shit.

I can't hate Vin Diesel completely since he was the voice of The Iron Giant, which was one of the few Disney movies I've ever liked.

Try again.
The Iron Giant was put out by Warner Bros. I agree; it was a great movie.
-1 point for the Disney man.

OMG Disney has some real classics out there. Among them are: Lady and the Tramp. A brilliant classic and a great love story (the meatball scene is timeless).

Speaking of love stories, everyone should see Millennium Actress. If you believe nothing I ever said or ever will say, at least believe me about this movie. A warning though: the ending is *far* from "Disney". I'll clarify: It's a love story, but unlike Disney, the guy doesn't "get the girl" at the end and they don't live "happily evar after". However, if you are in need of some catharsis, or just want to watch a great movie, see it.

dude, a cartoon? lol.

i just saw psycho and it's fucking bizarro, hitchcock rox, and rear window owned too when i saw it in highschool

it's weird that in the last 2 days, without my intent, i've witnessed two movies that both have cross dressers in them, william dafoe is cool

and as for waterworld, it was entertaining, i'd feel stupid if i had paid for it though...
