Stop hating all that is anime. There are actually good movies. Spirited Away, Metropolis, Akira.

Being as it is a mass produced merchandise it has some good stuff, some bad stuff and a lot of shite.

The thing that pisses me off is that it replaced some very good stuff from around the world. AH the good old days...

Some anime is okay, but the majority of it is shit. None of the movies you mentioned were really creative, or brilliant, or whatever.

Spirited Away was brilliant, great animations, smooth, makes you think about things. Akira is great too, at the time it was made, the animations were incredible, and its story is good. You can still not like them, but they were good movies.

These aren't just GORE SEX VIOLENCE anime. They are actually inteligent.

I didn't think it was all that brilliant. And it sure as hell didn't make me think of things. It was fairly predictable and unoriginal, I'll say that. I can think of a lot of better animated but non-anime movies, so shaddup or something.

Yes, so did Alice in Wonderland, which this movie was *cough* based *cough* on. You should read it some day.

And anyway, Princess Mononoke is better than Spirited Away, I'd say.

Though the best anime movie ever made is still Millennium Actress (see it).

It takes itself pretty seriously. Apparently being a pokemon battler take HEART AND THE FURY OF THE GODS. Still better than fucking Beyblade...fucking bad anime, kids these days don't know what cartoons are. Why can't they watch shows about cat-people in bondage outfits fighting mummies like normal people?
