Anybody ever hear of or play this game? I downloaded a demo of it and aside from the awesome armor the troopers have I can't get it to run correctly so actually playing is out of the question.

It was released back in '97 and from what I seen it looks like it was fun, the FMVs in the game were awesome too, battle mechs and shit duking it out with Aliens.

Yea, I got that game. Played it alot back when it was released. Havnt played it since though.. cant get it to work very well on XP (graphic and sound glitches). Its a really cool game, abit singular maybe, very high pace strategy with constant battle. The feel and animations are cool as hell =). I just love the humans cybernetic commando trooper. If you can find a way to make it work propely, you should really get the full version. It has a pretty fun single player version both for humans and aliens.

It was a fun game.

You'll have a hard time finding the full version though (which reminds me, if anyone knows where I can purchase Blue Ice, do say where)... What's the problem when you try to run it? I'm pretty good when it comes to making old shit work.

It's prolly abandone ware right now... So it wouldn't matter.

And just cause ebay still pimps it, don't mean its not abandone ware either.

I think only 35,000 copies were made until Blizzard sued them after buying copyright to the ScyDemon, which apparently looked like an Hydralisk.

Hmm... That explains it well. Now I don't wonder why I didnt see it back then. I remember vaguely playing a demo tho.

So, we need a url somewhere, I doubt any dev even knows about the existence of this pearl.

Wow, it was entertaining for a couple of nights, but a pearl?

It got repetitive as hell, and there wasn't much strategy, it was only moving around shooting the hell out of aliens.

Yea that movie was shit. The acting was actually better in the video game cinematics then the movie.

Baah. The makers of Aliens should sue Blizzard then, the appereance of both Hydralisk and Zergling are total ripoffs for sure. And scydemons dont look all that much like Hydralisks, and the concepts are completly different.

Hey, I just reinstalled Dark Colony tonight. Kinda works ok.. anyone of you remember how to create a group? (Like crtl-1, 2, 3 etc. not in this game though) I cant find the manual...

Edit: Oh, nevermind. Readme in the dir. Its fun though, just love the intro. Very brutal.
