Unless you Colonials have introduced your own version of the word "Wanker" into the English language, I think you need to read this:-

WankÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â·er ( Adjective )
n. Chiefly British Vulgar Slang
1. A person who masturbates (esp. an excessive masturbator)
2. A detestable person.

"Wank" (and "Wanking") is the act of masturbation. "Wank" is also used as an adjective (esp. in Northern Britain and the British Armed Forces) to describe any sub-standard item or experience. Example - "That Tony Blair talks a right load of wank!"

"Wanked" is both what the wankee is after he/she has been wanked off by a wanker and the state of an item after some wanker has broken/damaged it.

PS. I'm "cut" myself for medical reasons and have never found myself lacking for sensation in the old bell end.

... so I think that history has proven well enough that pure 100% socialism can not work. But nor can 100% capitalism either. Capitalist world as it's purest is so cruel that human life has no value in it. Being close to it is good economically, but it must be regulated by society and *surprise, surprise* with socialist means.

Social welfare, monopoly restrictions, anti-cartel laws, unemployment compensations... They're meant to soften capitalism and they're obvious tools of socialism. Mixing up things is good, because things are rarely / never black or white, they're usually different shades of grey.

Maybe.

Let me take Canada for an exemple, which is a social-democracy. Let me tell you, it's total mixed up BS.

They tried giving the people a good health system, good education system, unemployment compensations, etc. As a result, you pay high taxes. That would be alright, but something went wrong.

1st) To insure all these good systems you need a hell lot of public workers (we call that Fonction Publique, those working for the gov.) with big syndicates and worker unions, and since they operate the whole system they get really good salaries.

2nd) And there are still a lot of people trying to abuse our services, and the system is corrupted like hell. You need people to counter that.

For an example, the pilots of Air Maroc coming into Quebec all registered as resident here, and they don't get their passport stamped, so it looks like they don't leave the country at all. So after 5 years, they are considered citizen, so they get health insurance and later when they retire they get retirement pension! The police just found that some weeks ago. How? They were registered as 22 per house!!

All these expenses are paid by the citizen, yay!!

canadian government is fucked up. nothing is solid.

my favorite little canadian constitution fact is that a prime minister doesnt have to leave power during a war time situation unless he dies or chooses to leave. so we could easily have a dictator.

so if jean chretian decided he would prefer not to leave office, he could declare a wartime situation and not leave at all until he died.

they were recruited through an anti-circumcision publication? Come on, does that sound off or what? It's no random selection of the population.

Although I don't disagree with the results, I disagree with how they were obtained.
