looks like Fallout 3 will be the last worthwhile game iplay puts out before flopping over, and even though it will be a worthy successor i don't think it's going to make the big bucks that iplay needs to stay afloat
there's absolutely no way i can forsee a fallout 4, it just doesn't look right... 3 is the last one and eventhough a lot of kewl people have left bis the ones still working on it aren't newbies and probably are just obsessed with fallout as we are so chances are it'll be atleast as good as fallout 2 and probably better
I find it unlikely we'll even see three. If we do, it will almost certainly be rushed, buggy, and poorly (not at all) supported. It looks like Intertplay is going to go out with a whimper.
I'm pretty sure that 3 will at least HAPPEN... though who it comes from, I dunno.
I also agree that Fallout 4 ain't gonna happen.

Well if IPLY dies an ignomious death before putting out FO3 or releasing a very buggy FO3, we can rely on DAC's modding community to get it done. It will only take about 5 - 10 years.
Interplay won't disappear instantly.
Even if it goes bankrupt, they will finish FO3 to try and get the more money out of it, and then they will close, if they do.

While they continue to lose money for the year or so that it ends up taking? It's far more likely that they'd sell the license off to try and get rid of their debt.

Thus Interplay's death doesn't mean for sure FO3 death.
As long as som pro-Christian Moms Against Everything movement with stagnant funding doesn't buy the license I think the coming of FO3 is pretty ensured.
I think that Fallout 3 will get made, but it will by no means save Interplay from finiancial turmoil. I think are best chance to see FO after FO3 is if Interplay sells out the rights to a different company.

So is there any chance that BIS or another dev company will buy the Fallout name? The exBIS guys might make a different Post apoc RPG and just name it differently.
What about the one dude buying the Wastelands title, there is a chance that another Wastelands game will come out and may even be better than FO since it started it all anyways.
