Console Games

YO!

I was wondering if there's many (or any) good console games on the market besides sports, fps and gothy shooters. I bought a ps2 a while ago and I just use it too play dvds, but I'd like to get some use out of it. I'm also thinking about buying a gamecube, but I need to read more about it.

dont buy a gamecube, they are sheer shite! PS2 games arent much good eitehr but if you've not got it already get GTA Vice City, MOH:rising sun isnt too bad either, but its way too short. i dont know any other good console games.

I'm probably gonna buy an X-Box instead of a new computer.... has anyone modded them & installed a new harddrive? You know, for uhh saves and stuff. Is it difficult & should i hire some gimp to do it for me?

I bought a PS2. The only game that I've seen is good for it is Vice City, which I got bored of months ago.

I'm never buying a console again.

For the PS2: Tekken 3. Tekken Tag. Tony Hawk's Underground. GTA3. GTA Vice City. True Crime. Final Fantasy X. Any PS1 game.

For the Gamecube: Animal Crossing. Super Smash Bros Melee. Legend of Zelda Windwaker.

Xbox: Halo.

All the really good games get ported over to PC anyway (eventually). In my opinion it's a stupid waste of money.

ill state this right now. consoles in canada cost around 300-400 bucks. there is no way im going to pay that much for a system with only 5 or less games id ever play more than once. fighting games and skateboard games are repetitive garbage designed for easily amused 12 year olds and just about every game you can get for ps2 or for most consoles you can get for comp.

who the hell needs an x-box when you have a comp that is double the speed and is capable of doing more shit than play games.

I'm not much of a console player... My first-hand experiences are limited to 16bit Super-NES. But I must say, that from what I've read from magazines and heard from people around, XboX is the thing to buy now. But if you've already bought PS2, I recommend you won't buy True Crime or Final Fantasy [enter number here].

True Crime is a bland excuse of a game, that really really wants to be good. But imagine this: the game is set in the busy city of Los Angeles, but still the streets are as full of life as Helsinki during the midsummer fest.

And Final Fantasy... well, is tentacle rape enough of a clue for you? I say go for Vice City. If you've got it already, then too bad, I guess you still have a DVD-player :-/

I've got an XBOX...I've got some pretty good games...The Hobbit, Quantum Redshift, Tony Hawk 3, Crash Bandicoot, PacMan World 2, Blinx, Dr. Muto, Jet Set Radio Future....Yeah...I'm really into platformer games...That's why I like consoles..

My girlfriend has a GameCube...It's got a lot of fun kiddie/cartoonie games...But it's really a worthless system unless you seriously have to have Zelda or Mario games...I can do without either.

As for modding an XBOX...Not too tough..Just have to read through one of the billions of tutorials found damn near anywhere...I'm keeping mine stock..I don't need to have a little black Linux sitting under my TV.
