Gamespy EVIL?

DO you think Gamespy is evil, mean bastards? I do! Heck, they sued a guy for reporting them a bug! And they have such a crappy multiplayer client that it makes Windows look failsafe and bug-less! And they only care for profit!

I say, boycott Gamespy!

I think theyre kinda ok though, and GamespyArcade doesnt suck all that much. They got kinda ok rewievs, good humour (The victims). Their cue system for downloads suck royally though. I dont want to wait 37 minutes to DL a file of 13 megs when I have a 2mbit line. The actual DL isnt even 1/4 of the wait time!

Yea, they really suck. The planet sites are alright, but full-page ads, dumb articles, ego, pricing, fileplanet, shitty forums and an ugly site sort of unbalance it. Plus they like penny-arcade, which is like king shit or something.

The planetXX sites are good. Though those annoying full-page advertisements that pop up every third second when you're trying to lick "next page" on bottom of an article annoy a lot.

thats because gayspy has secret magic powers that allows its minutes to actually be 2 or more minutes for every gayspy minute.

gayspy is the biggest nazi ive ever seen for bad words too. say gook and you get a week to month mute. you can also get banned for it.

As for me, I have no qualms over gamespy and IGN merging, unless the lameness of IGN passes over to an already lamed down Gamespy Network. I can't stand having to sign up and PAY to read news that should otherwise be free to all.

But I've got no issues with Gamespy Arcade, b/c it has shaped itself up qutie well in recent months. Fileplanet simply rocks if you have an account with them.

you on crack? fileplanet is fucking garbage unless you pay to get on the good servers. gayspy aint worth any money and if you actually play on it you can see how shitty it really is.

I agree with Blackdog. If you're such a damn racist you should get slapped. They have their own rules/standards you have to follow them. It's probibly in that Terms & Agreements that no-one ever reads.

Saying the term "gook" once in a discussion shouldn't get you banned automatically. That is a bit too harsh. Give 'em three strikes. Third time you use a racist, derogatory word in reference to someone else (as an insult, etc.), you're out.

And as for the use of racist words in any other context (such as a quote, or historical reference of some sort), that shouldn't invoke the three strikes, as long as a proper, mature discussion is going on that would require such a thing. Something like "You filthy Jew niglet" would not be allowed.
