Hehe, I know some even outside of this list. Like Rintakuusi = "Mr. Breast Pine" or Humaloja = "Mr. Drunken Ditch". My family name is Pekkala, which derives from a Finnish male first name Pekka, so I don't think it means anything.

What's your family name, by the way, Lasse?

And to add to the original topic, some of those family names are also used as first names. Like Ansio, as in Ansio EpÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¤ilys, some famous Finn, just can't come up WHY he's famous... Anyways, Ansio EpÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¤ilys = "Mr. Income Doubt".

Erm... Isomulkku IS a rare family name. Just because Mulkku is not as acceptable first name as Dick in English :/ It's more like Cock, or Penis. So if your name is Isomulkku, it means BigPenis. Tough shit.
