Yeah, those movies kicked ass. Thumbs, arms, legs...ALL UP!
Pity now the nearest we get to an action flick are some guys who weigh less than 200lbs in leather with no one-liners or some shitty buddy movie. We don't even get the obligatory topless woman for no reason, except in swordfish. But that sucked.
Terrific.

ive got to agree. the movies arent intelligant movies and werent ment to be. its a bad ass going around shooting people in the face. atleast they had a vague story and had lots of violence.s4ur0n27 wrote:Those 80's action movie were entertaining. They aren't GOOD movies but they are fun to watch. Cobra, Red Heat, Raw Deal, Commando. I was like 10 in those years, but I still enjoy watching these movies on TV now. Red Heat was good, Arnold is such a badass with his HUGE cannon.
movies now are full of fluff and other excessive story garbage in movies made for action. i dont need justification i came to see people get shot.
as for the lord of the rings movies, they are all good. but the story and how long they go for is boring for most ADHD ridden people so they will never watch them all. there is a good mix of story and some kick assed action scenes but the scenes with liv tyler are FUCKING terrible.
if you read the books you can probably sit through the movies but if you cant read the books go back to watching barney and smoking fatties with your retarded highschool dropout friends.

Man, this is gonna hurt...this is not flame bait. I just came from the cinema and I've to say I'm quite disappointed. The last half hour of the film is one big gay-o-rama. Hobbits jumping up and down on the bed, hobbit marriages and some such. People are crying all the time and they don't fucking stop.
"Sam" "Frodo" "Sam" "Frodo" "I'm so sorry Sam" "Frodo" "Sam". There is some cool footage, no doubt about that, but according to my impression, it takes the backseat to the emotional stuff. Why did they cut out the scenes with Christopher Lee? Why didn't we see more of the Witchking of Angmar?
The first part of the film is quite good, but do not, repeat do not expect a religious experience. Leave the theater after the destruction of the ring if you want to live a life free of memories of hobbits frolicking in bed, accompanied by the hearty laughter of wizards and dwarfes...man, I hate this...
I am going to play something very violent now.

I saw ROTK a couple days back and I thought it was pretty horrible, actually, which wasn't what I was expecting at all. The first two were pretty entertaining, but ROTK was actually boring, with action sequences repeated ad nauseum. I practically fell asleep. Not only that, but Jackson's only dramatic tool in this one seems to be using that bad LOTR soundtrack whenever he deems necessary (every five minutes or so, or whenever anybody says "the one ring," etc.) Basically, it went nowhere and it did nothing. All in all, it was the one of the worst movies I've seen all year.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.
