This is so fucking cool. They even have videos and some of them are animated.
This sentence has thirty-two letters.

Well it seems sanctioned by the buiding owners, as the setup to make this work is rather involved, so this isn't the work of hackers in the 'illegal' sense, if to even call them hackers at all.

Nonetheless, it is pretty cool. :D

Cheers

Agreed Steve, these guys are sanctioned, not to take away from their accomplishment. It is quite clever, some might go as far as calling it art. The fact remains that they didn't hijack or break into a system.
They are progressive thinking programers with perhaps a tad too much time on their hands. Then again if someone lets them do this, there might be a market for what they are doing as eye catching hi-profile advertising.

Its hard not to think of San Francisco (Ok fine L.A.) as depicted in Blade Runner, looking at some of these. Incidentaly all of these are from (and ON) French National Library Building in Paris.

Wasn't one of the premises of Blade Runner that the cities had grown so much that L.A. and S.F. eventually interloped one another? I haven't seen the film in the last 8-10 years, but I thought I remembered a shot of one of the flying police cruisers going over a wrecked Golden Gate Bridge.

Then again it could just be me either mixing in contents from another film or imagining things
