Oh please; comparing Hitler to Farrakan is ridiculous. The Black Muslims have never wielded the amount of power the Nazis had, they're goal wasn't extermination but rather segregation (the Black Muslims believed that the black man in America COULD NOT find equality in white America and thus should be allowed to gain his own, seperate chunk of the U.S.), and the hatred of the Jews was based on unfounded and often irrational scapegoat-related rage, while the Black Muslims' hate of the "white devil" came from centuries of slavery followed by decades of violent oppression.

And how far is he willing to go to get a "separate chunk" and who would be the gracious leader of such chunk? And how big should such chunk be? And after he "liberated" one "chunk" wich would come next?

These kind of leaders who spread hate for political gain usually do not stop after they get what they claim, if they get what they want they usually want more and more.

Yes, thats true. The scary part is that this kind of leader will spew forth a load of commonsensical dribble like Farrakhan's "We must keep our young in school, assuring them an education to provide them with a chance to succeed." and then follow it up with "But be wary my brothers that you dispell any of the lies that WHITE America will seed their minds with..."
I understand that Hitler was quite adept at the "if I say something that makes sense, everything I say must." School of speach making and ideology.

1) I'm not even sure the Black Muslims of today continue to preach this message. I seriously doubt the Black Muslims of today continue to preach seperation, otherwise there would be more terrified headlines in newspapers to the effect of "UPPITY DARKIES WANT OKLAHOMA." They're probably still "militant" but at this point their religion's a joke and so are they.

2) When it was preached it made perfect sense--to this day I say the Black Muslims had the right idea when they wanted to simply seperate from white America. During the civil rights movement, there were THOUSANDS of young men and woman were being beaten and murdered like animals because they wanted to site at the front of the fucking city bus. You don't lie down and let an elephant stomp all over you until he gets bored, you get out of his path if you're smart.

3) Louis Farrakan ain't no Elijah Mohammed. Even at their zenith, the Black Muslims were in the vast minority of civil rights activists--a minority of a minority. And these days their political power is WANING, not growing...and as a matter of fact Elijah Mohammed himself was a liar and an adulterer; like I said Malcolm X was their greatest achievement and even he found out what bullshit it all was.

4) Louis Farrakan isn't as smart as Hitler.

True, but I don't think that their contribution should be overlooked. I'd say that if people like Malcolm X hadn't been out there scaring the shit out of the white establishment I don't think that it would have sat down at the bargaining table w/more moderate blacks like MLK.

Slave Master: I didn't get a chance to look into the whole Caucasian thing last night. My...um...nephew voluteered me for piggyback duty... :oops: (Cleaning guns in my family isn't a way to avoid conversation in my family. If anything it will illicit conversation.

On the contrary OTB, I side with the militant civil rights activists--to this day Malcolm X is one of the few people I consider a hero. But the fact is they never had a significant amount of power; white people were terrified of them, and the moderates (such as the infamous MLK Jr...don't get me started on that) spent all their time ignoring the militant aspect of civil rights because they were too busy trying to "love" and "become brothers" with the same people who were hosing them down in the streets.
