DC sucks, hehKashluk wrote:Well the whole Medal of Honor - series is pretty crappy in my opinion, if you want classy WW2 fighting FPS, go get yourself Call of Duty.
I don't really know about Battlefield, because I've only played it once (many hours though ;) ) in a LAN-party and even then, we only played the Desert Combat - modification, which was kinda fun. Is there even a single player mode in that game?
Doom > Halo, anyday baby,

You can play Doom with a mouse and hi-res graphics these days, and yes it's quite enjoyable. Probably better than many of the FPS's these days. You can play over the Internet too...haven't played Halo yet so I can't say if it's any better thoughiohkus wrote:yeah, maybe Doom 3 > halo but not doom.
would you really rather play doom with 320x200 graphics and arrow keys vs. halo online? no... didn't think so

I just finished Doom about 3 hours ago. So yes, I'd rather play Doom then Halo.
I enjoyed Halo on X-box. Me and my friend spent many an hour going through that game on Legendary. Hell, even after we did that we pissed about the Silent Cartographer level. Trying to get all 3 warthogs down to the map room.

Is that some kind of idiotic rhetorical question? I didn't start out with a console and I'm sure neither did a lot of other people. To assume that everyone started with a console has absolutely no basis in reality.ExtremeDrinker wrote:Seriously, though..Who didn't start out with a console? I started with an Atari 2600, moved up to an Intellevision, then got the NES...Moved up to a PC after that...

I state that Halo PC sucks because it sucks. To prove I'm not some "OMG MICROSOFT WANTS TO STEAL MY GOLD FILLINGS!" moron, I'm going to state that I use and like Windows XP. Finally, I'm going to state that anyone who liked either version of Halo is someone who's been console gaming their whole life and thus has been grossly deprived of proper FPSes or just a fucking moron who has never played No One Lives Forever and its sequel.Mihail wrote:Halo pc is good, Most people say halo sucks due it being microsoft related

How old are you? If you're over 20, most likely you didn't have a PC when you were a kid because they were really expensive. If you are...Say...under 18 now, there is a good chance you started with a PC because of the prices being really fucking low.Exitium wrote:Is that some kind of idiotic rhetorical question? Everyone I know (in the real world) started with a console of some sort..It wasn't until we were 10 or so that any of us got computers. My neighbor was the first person in my area to get a computer, and that was in 1985...We thought it was cool, but all the games were on the Intellivision..The PC had some nifty little text based games, but at that age, who the hell wanted to read a game?
I got my pc for Christmas in 1989. It was totally great, and I played Hugo and Commander Keen all the time...
When did you get your first computer?

Yeah. I started with a sega master system, but I had played intellivision prior to that. My jaw just dropped when I first saw wolfenstein, incidentally I think that was the year (wolf3d was released) I got my first pc. I have many a fond memory of playing it.
However things get more sophisticated as with your personal tastes (or so you'd think, obviously with many it doesn't) as you get older and now I'm pretty much had it for games altogether save for a few that are interesting enough to hold my attention. I really can't say I'm attracted to the grist of the pc or console gaming mill anymore. You don't get that much more mundane than your very typical shooters like halo or unreal or quake3 or halflife... with the exception for a few interesting mods out there. It's all pretty much the same damn shit now.
