question about finishing the game

Post by Shino »

is there a way of getting the gasoline (or whatever it is) from the shi guys in SanFran without handing over the upgraded power armor in exchange?
(You know, there's this little quest you, get, upgrading an armor for one of the shi scientists by this hubogolist.. crocket or somewhat like this.. well, I've killed crocket and the whole hubbi-pack so what *g*, maybe there's an other location to get an upgraded power armor? I just want to make that tanker work =P )
it's not a trick 'cause you can't learn it

If you do all the quests for the Emperor, you can use the computer to transfer the fuel.

Or you could ask the computer guy in the tanker to do it for you.

And if you didn't kill all the hubologists then you could of convinced the hacker into transfering it. If you haven't gotton the quest for the vertibird plans from the BOS guy yet, you can take a couple of psyco's to knock down your intel and make him set up the tanker for you.

If your character has a high enough science skill, you can go to one of the computer terminals in the Shi complex, hack it, and transfer their fuel to PMV Valdez yourself.

if you have a really stupid character then after you complete the navarro mission, the brotherhood guy will take care of all of the getting the tanker ready missions (tank fob key, getting the fuel, etc) and you can go right to the oil rig

He doesn't get killed if you're stupid? Sounds like bullshit to me...

He still gets killed he just sets up the tanker and then gets himself killed. If you've been alaingned then the AHS-9 does exactly the same thing for killing the emperor

So what if you kill Matt, Badger, AHS-9, the Shi scientists, and the Emperor, before setting up the tanker?

I killed the every person I encountered in FO2, took every random encounter and killed all those people. It wasn't as satisying as I had hoped.

No wonder, I bet you missed a ton of dialogue.

Hey, I gotta try that. The worst that I've ever done was to kill off all of Redding and Vault City. Shooting Lynette was the best.

It was after I had already beaten the game, so I really didn't miss anything of real importance.

You can still convince Dan (or whoever that hacker is) to transfer fuel.

It's the guy standing behind the shuttle outside the Hub base. Not sure if Dan's his name, but I think it is.

But then, you've most likely killed him too if you've taken out the hubologists, no?

i thought you could hack into the comp(emporer) yourself, after getting the captain to tell you it needs fuel, then direct fuel into it, only need a single dialogue thingy from the cap'n of the ship. You dont need anyone to goto the oil rig, as in the vagrants or anything do you?

The first time I went to the oil rig, after a while i realized to blow up that big computer, and I had hell finding some explosives. Because I didnt bring any.

Yes I forgot about that guy, I think it's Dave Hendee, a joke because he's one of the devs if I'm not mistaken. He attacks you after you waste the hubologists though, so that wouldn't work.
