That much I knew, CoB has a spot among the greatest metal bands of all time.

My mistake on Mourning Palace, the lead guy for Dimmu explained that it would be the final song in their set, and when the orchestra came on for the opening i assumed it was a track off of Death Cult Armageddon.

Bodom opened out kicking ass, songs I remember them doing are Everytime I Die and Kissing the Shadows. Their set totalled only five songs, which was lame, because Nevermore had almost an hour to play, and they suck horribly. I mean, man, they suck.

The Bodom lead man once hit a high note and then lifted his guitar into the air by only the wamee bar, which was both sweet and pleasing to the ears. When they came onstage they began with some guitar action, back and forth solos, and began their real set with the vocals guy shouting, "Philadelphiiiiiiiiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Yup, Bodom's a great live band. And they're not afraid to do small gigs either :)

i don't club but i listen to GOOD metal. Thrash, started metal and it's the best genre of metal. Megadeth Slayer Black sabbath, basically most of the music from the 80's is metal at its best

Tool and A Perfect Cirle :D

Red Hot Chili Peppers? Im listening to the By The Way album now.

Generally I have a very broad taste of music though. I really dig the better 80´s disco and funky stuff. I love to watch VH1 =).

Because contrary to popular belief there are no objective standards by which to judge music?

Ah, yes. I've encountered this phenomenon before. My solution was to quit listening to the radio. But shouldn't you have complained about the amount of airplay they receive rather than attacking them/their music?

Personally, what made this worse for me was that it's rare that the single that gets airplay is the song off the album that I might not mind hearing 2,385 times a day. When Sex Blood Sugar Magic came out I was tormented w/the strains of Under the Bridge over and over and over again. Unfortunately it so happens that I found that to be the weakest track on the whole damned album. Give it Away wasn't one of its strong points, either, and that one got lots of airplay as well...

Skinny Puppy and Therion are probably my favorite bands in those catagories respectively.

And from what i've heard, 80% of Metal sucks.
I agree with 80% sucking, 95% of the stuff after 95 has sucked its the "nu metal" bands that get way more popularity then they have skill. as i said before there is a small percentage that is extremely talented. most of the mainstream rap punk metal whatever is all similar and repetetive.
