Swedish Fallout: BOS Review

<html><body>SuperPlay - Sweden's largest multi-format gaming magazine has reviewed Fallout: BOS.The review is very negative and probably (I haven't played it) reflects the quality of the game nicely. The reviewer starts with an overview of the Fallout setting and a nostalgic recap of the prior games in the series. He then describes the gameplay. Here is an excerpt:<blockquote>You run around with a pre-created character, bashing or shooting most things that move. Inbetween you talk with ugly and boring people who gives you missions of the type 'go here and there, and kill this and that'. (my translation)</blockquote>This is how he finishes the review:<blockquote>It's a sin and a shame that Interplay rapes Fallout like this. And it is a sin and a shame that Black Isle, who have given us so many fantastic roleplaying games are forced to close down. Somewhere in the game my character runs past a Fallout poster, a humorous hint for all of those who have played the real Fallout games. It does not make me smile. It just makes me sad, because it shouldn't exist here. I stop playing Brotherhood of Steel and make a new character in the first Fallout game instead. Well, it is Fallout related and this is a fallout fansite. Its not DAC's fault that the reviews are negative :p

far be it from me to say that negetive reviews of FOBOS are wrong, it's just that it's like it has become by far the most predominant issue of last news

FOBOS reviews are predominant in our news because the game was just handed out to reviewers to judge. For some odd reason (beats me why!), most people think the game sucks balls.

It's just the way news goes, my boy. You have the option of not reading it

And no... DAC is not an anti-fan site. Theoretically, I don't think anti-fan sites are possible. We wouldn't have an audience

DAC has been leading the charge in anti FO:BOS since the game was announced. There were a few who didnt declare themselves for or against it, but for the most part everyone here was already getting the gas and torches ready.

I figured it would be garbage, but was hoping they could atleast make it quasi interesting, given that I had fun playing BG:DA. Sounds like they failed

Well except from the fact then the m******rs killed Fallout 3 to make this pos i have absolutely no problem with this pos.

Of course i cannot talk for D&C but talking for me as an individual poster i like to see this game tank.

Does anybody has any problem with this ?

wow, I didn't expect so many answers to my post. Guess I was just relieving my distress about the fact that when I enter DAC I see tons of FOBOS... sure it's normal - no Fo3 to write about, some irritating crap to complain about instead. I'm just fed up woth Enforcer in general, negative reviews included. And I'm pissed off F3 was "shelved", too, and these two acumulate.

PS: Kreegle, why would you call me 'my boy'? Are you an octogenarian or something? Or did you mean to disrespect me by patronizing?

Sure they are. They're called Hate-sites, and there are quite a few of them out there.

Seeing as this is a magazine review, what are those at the Interplay Forums waiting for now? The TV reviews? After that I suppose it'll be the radio reviews!

I think I'll buy the game, call Interplay and say : Hey, the ame I bought is a piece of shit, gimme my money back and I'll send back the game after leaving some shit in the box.
