New Sprite Idea

Post by PaladinHeart »

Since my skills with sprite making (not to mention my lack of knowledge from the 50's) are somewhat lacking, I thought I would throw this idea on here in case someone wanted to do it.

I was thinking a lighter & aerosol spray can weapon sprite would be cool. We could use it as a new pistol sprite, replacing the mini-flamer. It could be a cheap early weapon for fire attacks.

Heck, we could even have a secondary mode where you can throw it like a molotov :-)

Anyway I think it would be cool, and I would definitely use it if anyone cared to make it.

Yea, that sounds cool actually. It shouldnt do to much damage though, very little range. More of a melee weapon than ranged for sure.

And if there's a critical failure (was that implemented in Tactics?), the flame rushes up the stream of spray into the can and the weapon explodes.

That reminds me, now that OTB has made a lighter sprite, I was going to make a throwing weapon using the lighter with molotovs changed to ammo, instead of being weapons in their own right. So that way you need to light the molotovs before throwing them.

Must go and implement this. :)

That's a nifty idea RFAS, I had not thought of that :)

Don't forget the dynamite sticks as explosive ammunition. You could even have the HE modifier on them so that they do a LOT more damage than the molotovs.

Heck, I actually like this idea more than the aerosol can.

The bundle of dynamite sprite has a timer so you'd wouldn't need to light it but as I said to Kashluk for the dynamite (as a throwing weapon) you'd want a sprite of a single stick.

I doubt there would be many full spray cans or any cans with enough pressure left in them that survived the war anyway.
