I sent this to Bpen a while back

Well, I think a comic would be great, but what it needs to be is not involving a great many of the idiots on DaC now. Since you left, we have degenerated quite a bit, mostly the only intelligent convo goes on in the mod section, irc, and a couple other specialty forums. Since zig axed the wasteland, they all went to GD. I am all for a web comic, (I have a collection of all your fallout stuff you've posted on my comp) but I have my reservations about our community...

I don't know most of you guys and for the most part I'm new here, so maybe my opinion has little to no meaning to any of you. But I have been to several different forums in the past, and I think characterizing DAC as gathering of idiots and degenerates is a pretty far stretch. Is every single thread here intellectually stimulizing? No, and I believe that's a good thing; unless you desire every thread to be about the war in Iraq or EU constitutional debates.

I've been to forums where admins/mods edit your posts to make you look like an idiot; where they talk of raping a female gamer just for disagreeing with their point of view, etc. DAC in my opinion is pretty tame compared to some whacked out stuff I've seen at other forums.

If anything, I'd say DAC is a successful community; look at the past several months. Fallout gamers have absolutely nothing to look forward to on the horizon and yet they still come here. Can DAC members be hostile? Definately, but can you honestly blame their [and my] hatred for games such as F:BOS which completely tarnish Fallout? This isn't a corporate site; it's a fansite and fans should be allowed to express their views no matter how extreme/volatile they may be. If speaking your mind makes you a "dengenerate", well then sign me up.

I think DAC's alright...thriving, compared to other forums. The only real problem is sometimes the collective ire falls on the wrong target and shit hits the fan. No reason to start getting all "I LIKED YOU BETTER BEFORE YOU SOLD OUT" on us or anything.

I think DAC is the next best thing to V13..Basically the same people, but things are more...Fun...here. I don't come here to be intellectually stimulated. I come here to read about things that interest me like the PA games/movies and such.

The forums are the fluff around the great site..They're an added bit of fun and goodness where the fans can talk about all the stuff going on in the world, their likes/dislikes, and share info on things another individual might never have seen. (Goatse, for instance)..

Do things get out of hand? Rarely..The only time I really thought things got out of hand was when Soldier87 went on his Nazi rampage. I wouldn't consider it really way out of hand, but it got old.

There are a ton of different topics going on on DAC, and 50% of them are pretty interesting. Being at NMA for a few days, I noticed very few new threads whereas DAC has new ones pretty often.

While not quite better than sex, a handjob, food, drugs, or alcohol...DAC is still better than No-DAC.

A webcomic would be welcome, IF it was funny (I'm not talking Penny Arcade or Ctr-Alt-Del funny, I mean actual, genuine funny) and IF it was half original (more in the TWB/davide direction than the horrible DAC community comic direction). Nice art courtesy of BPen would be a nice addition, but that's just icing on the cake.

Think you can pull that off?
