Far Cry SP Demo

Post by Megatron »

Anyone played this yet?

ook

It's a FPS set on a tropical island and stuff. It's meant too have good AI, graphics and non-linear gameplay.

I'm trying too download it (50mb/500mb) and it's meant too be pretty good. Average AI depending on who you talk too, pretty graphics and it runs better on a geforce card than a radeon. Bizarro eh?

I hate FPSes that are set in jungles because having a bunch of hidden enemies in tall grass all shooting you isn't fun as Soldier of Fortune II demonstrated. Besides that, downloading 500 megs sounds like a pain in the ass even on a broadband connection. Don't feel like doing the Fileplanet tango, either.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

Shit. 500 megs is half of my monthly tolerated bandwidth for making downloads off foreign country servers. I'll probably wait until the demo is available on some national servers.

I'm downloading it since I have classes to go to anyways. Hopefully it works and stuff. Also downloading the new version of "The Army Game" for fun. Hopefully this is worth my time.

Not bad but my machine kinda suck so things pop up very often(the forest appared when i am like 3 meters away), but i have decent frame rate. This game= halo + half life - aliens.

Man, this demo is full with bugs, locked up twice in the menu already. Hope they' ll fix them in the final release.

Graphics are sweat, awe-aspiring views, but even on a AMD 2.200 with a GF4 I can' t play it decently with everything on highest detail.
