What part of "Interplay doesn't plan on releasing it, as shown by their cancellation of the title" escaped your comprehension?abnathapryde wrote:So you've givin' up on it allready...that's too bad...I'll never give up on the hopes of seeing a FO3 released

So in other words, we should keep groveling and begging IPLY to release FO3 when they haven't show any intention of doing so? And we're not much of a fanbase because we don't support their stupidity? Ooook. You start begging them, and telling them all their idiocy is the bestest thing evar, i might catch up with you later.

Out of curiousity, have you ever taken a marketing class? I'm proposing not because its just stupid for a company to "Take revenge" on some of its primary supporters. Ofcourse, its also unwise to piss off said supporters, so maybe Interplay needs to take that class as well. Also I neglect to see how we've "Given up", we're still here and stuff, we just know Interplay is now run by cock mongers who don't give a damn about what we have to say. We could write as many petitions in the world and it wouldn't matter. As I said before, internet petitions don't work

There are about 17,000 signatures on the most popular FO3 petition that I know of.
And don't be so damned naive. Fallout 3 is not going to happen. It's been in development at least two times that we know of. It was cancelled both times. Interplay doesn't want to please whatever fans it has left. There's no reason to expect them to try.

Five years of complaining. Multiple petitions. A year of bitching out FOBOS, telling Interplay that we'd rather have FO3.abnathapryde wrote:None of it, but giving up doesn't show much for the fan base...if you guys just give up on doing your part to let them know you want to see FO3
And you're telling me it's our fault Interplay is too fucking stupid to listen?
Since I've already stated this twice, I'll do so again, in the abridged version:then they were right they would have been wasting time and resources on making it since you guys can't stick to your guns and keep making petitions and letting them know you want to see it made and released...
We do not owe Interplay shit.
There is nothing we can do about their utter refusal to follow through with Fallout 3, and there is nothing we can do about their insistence on handing drunk Mexicans a bottle of lube and the Fallout license and telling them to have fun.
Was that simple enough, or will you still cook up an excuse as to why Fallout fans are to blame for the lack of Fallout 3?
Wow, you sure are running out of ammo, aren't you?yet another Interplay party line which has also been extensively debunked
Absolutely correct -- it's their choice to make shitty games and ignore the fans; nobody put a gun to their collective head and told them do it. You still have been completely unable to elaborate on exactly why Fallout fans are to blame for the situation.all this negative attitude toward them and their choices to make games
With-holding a game people showed some interest in (Before it was cancelled, which sort of totally shoots down what your stillborn intellect calls an argument, but I'll continue) as revenge for those people disliking a game Interplay was stupid enough to make? Sounds pretty pathetic to me, Herve.I'm sure gives them more than enough reason to never release an FO3 since it will make all of you suffer....
Cheers
Edit:
Overlooking the fact that anecdotal evidence has no place whatsoever in an argument, back it up.On another forum for a game I am into we have started polls concerning their game and they have actually listened to it...
Great idea! After all, the last time a bunch of Fallout fans went on to the Iplay fora and complained -- when FOBOS was announced -- they took some real consideration of where we were coming from. Oh. Wait.why not try this tactic have you guys gone to the Interplay forum and attempted to start a poll on wanting to see FO3 released
Like Spazmo said, around 17,000 people signed on the FO3 petitions. That's 17,000 of the most vocal people. Run Like Hell sold 23,000 copies. If Interplay wasn't retarded, they might consider that....and I'm not talking about a lame 3000 or so votes, if you guys really want to see FO3 back in the works you guys got to be able to pull a decent number to make it work
Hey, guess what?! Votes don't mean shit when the people who run the company make the final decision. A final decision that has consistently been to ignore Fallout fans, at that.in other words lounging around and complaining here wont do it since there is a pathetic number of active members on this forum, we would all have to do our part to get every FO fan out there aware of the poll and get them over to it to put in their vote

Oh, brother.
First, let's suppose that there are really 17,000 votes, or more, into a FO3 petition. Spazmo pointed out one of them has that many votes. This part gets tricky, so try to stay focused. Ready? Ok. Don't you think that 17,000 signatures are enough to tell Interplay that people want the game? I mean, if a company was interested in releasing a product, what better reason than 17,000 reasons? But who would've think it, they cancelled the game twice.
Second, do you know how easy it is to fake online signatures for petitions? I can set up dozens of different accounts online, and post a fake name in those petitions. Would you, as a head of a company, risk releasing a product for a "ghost" market? I mean, you believe in the power of petitions - present me with factual evidence that all those people are real. You can't, you just can't.
Third, what the **** does a petition do that fans' opinions on IPLY forums won't do? Really, do tell. Because i was under the impression that fan input on a company's official site was much more important than some easy-to-forge statistial gimmick petitions. Again, trickiness time - if they cared, why dind't they listened to fans?

Ah, I get it. So you ask for a popular petition to prove that we want Fallout 3. You get it, and now that's not good enough? So basically, every time we hand your ass to you and demonstrate how full of shit you are, you're just going to say you want some more proof that we'd like Fallout 3 and that you're dumb?abnathapryde wrote:The problem is fan Input on their site doesn't bring cold hard numbers....and a 17,000 vote petition is far from enough to make a big name company take you guys seriously...

Oh really? I thought that "On another forum for a game I am into we have started polls concerning their game and they have actually listened to it"?abnathapryde wrote:The problem is fan Input on their site doesn't bring cold hard numbers
Maybe you're finally figuring out you've been spewing ignorant bullshit, but I'm remaining decidedly pessimistic.
I think the fact that, oh, we're the consumer and they are supposed to take us seriously should be enough. As excessively demonstrated and proven, Interplay is full of shit -- it's as simple as that. Polls and petitions won't do anything.....and a 17,000 vote petition is far from enough to make a big name company take you guys seriously
You're the one demanding that the evil, corrupt Fallout fans take action. Since your arguments kind of got ripped to shreds, I think the "next best option" for you is to shut the fuck up....if a petition or a forum poll wont cut it what do you think would be the next best option?
Free cluepon: As if you hadn't figured it out from the dozen or so posts by myself and others since this little flamefest started, there is nothing feasible we can do within legal bounds that we haven't done already.

I fail to see how it doesn't. With a user count of 13954 members on their forums - you included - and that most of those users have been there interacting with (and supporting) Black Isle Studios members, and expressed their interest in IPLY releasing FO3, it certainly brings more much evidence that there were people interested in FO3 than a easilly forged 17,000 online signatures. Specially because, guess what - we are the consumers. You want something more credible than consumers addressing a company?abnathapryde wrote:The problem is fan Input on their site doesn't bring cold hard numbers....
17,000 is more than enough, specially considering that quite likely they're the more vocal voices (*if* those 17,000 are all really 17,000 different people).and a 17,000 vote petition is far from enough to make a big name company take you guys seriously...

In all fairness, I'm sure at least 10,000 of those are rabid fans of Run Like Hell.Role-Player wrote:I fail to see how it doesn't.
