My monitor just diered. Need to purchase new one. Any wise recomendations on the purchase of a new one? Im thinking about a 19 inch CRT.

I guess it depends what you need it for in the first place.

I would get a flat CRT with good colours and contrast myself, but then you might not need it etc.

Assuming you have enough space, get a CRT since they're cheaper, bigger, and are better for gaming.

All I want is to know wich is the best 19 inch monitor for gaming.

man i have an Optiquest 19inch that cost me 100 canadian and it pwns.

Ah well, that is the very best CRT you can buy, my friend. But it costs a lot. Maybe you should think about getting that second mortgage on your house? *chuckle*

I was thinking about buying a new monitor as well, my Optiquest Q51 is really a POS and it's getting yellower each day.

So for gaming, you guys recommend a flat CRT for gaming? I was thinking about Samsung, NEC or Viewsonic maybe.

Flatscreen CRTs are better than regular CRTs, but they cost a bit more. Try Sony. I have a 15" Trinitron type, and it works pretty good. Now, my video card is F'ed up, but that's a whole 'nother problem...
