Review everything post-apoc, but concentrate on games: PC and PnP. Take looks/ pot shots at post apoc news and theories.

Stay irreverent. I think that's what drew me to this place...

Get back the wasteland!

Be a bit elitist, but not too much. Don't go "FOI ist sacrosanct. It is the best that happened to gamerdom, to humanity in general. FOI is perfect. To play something different is stupidity. I agree with DarkUnderlord though, we've been doing pretty much generic post apoc stuff for a long time, but if we want to keep this place up and running the focus has to be shifted away from fallout exclusively, since it's dying.

I think you should do some sort of mod competition. The members of DAC could vote in the best mod.

DAC could have a prize. something like best mod for a PA game. Could be something like the oscar but with pornographic stars giving *beeb* to the winners.

I would suggest concentrating on PA games and mods, good or bad. But other PA and sci/fi related stuff could be also covered in more or less detail.
The wasteland could be revived but I think it should be moderated, to keep out the really stupid stuff like megabig dumb posts or disgusting pics that do not relate to anything. It could be a good place for private flamewars and weird shite. It would require a couple of no nonsense, moderators with a strong stomach, but whe have a few good people for the job here me thinks.

But hell, everyone's complaining about how their favourite interweb hangout got taken away and they're so pissed off about it... nobody really cared when THE SAME DAMNED THING happened to everyone who hung out in the wasteland exclusively. Oh well, just forced us into general discussion, and i daresay that's partly responsible for the boards general 'crappiness' as of late

i like the DAC boards, they were just a lot better when "ask hammer" was still around. for i have so many burning questions to ask him!

i think DAC should just branch out into all PA media, who cares if most of it sucks? that applies to almost everything found on the intarweb.

The ideas here are good - focus on anything and everything post-apoc, but keep Fallout as the prime subject. Really, it's going to be extremely slow without any new FO games, but such is the way of the Internet.

As far as the Wasteland goes, on the other hand, sure a thesis might be rather pointless without its antithesis, but since there isn't going to be a synthesis anytime soon (if such a thing was possible -- crying about a dead kitten and pictures of anii do not go together well) whatever keeps bullshit out of general discussion is not pointless.

I think the focus should be on PA media, emphasizing PA games. Kind of what you said, but since the only news related to Fallout we'll be seeing are updates on how poorly Interplay is doing (for the time being, at least; they won't outlast this year) I think expanding to PA games as the primary subject would be a better idea.

Mandalorian, why do you cry just because your one-word flames get deleted from topics where they don't belong? I have nothing against flames as long as they are well done and stay on topic. But a reply of "STFU" is grounds for an immediate delete. The main reason I delete crap is to make sure a thread with good arguments stays fun to read and on topic.
