I'd read that they were yet another publication to hop on the bandwagon to give Knights of the Old Republic a perfect 10/10.

I think KOTOR was a perfect 10 also, I had a few gripes but they were only something like I wish it was longer sort of things

I thought it was neat. It's the only Bioware game I've ever managed to fully complete. A lot of my qualms are similar to what was mentioned in the rpgcodex review of the game.
