Feargus Urquhart's next project?

Post by Mihail »

I know this is not fallout related but it is semi Black Isle related, apparently Feargus Urquharts who most of us know is no longer a member of BI but his new company "Obsidian Entertainment" has announced an agreement to discuss options with BioWare about Starwars Knights of the Old Republic II although it's unclear what roll they would play.

you should check out rpgcodex.com they've got a couple of threads on the subject. Obsidian will probably be developing KOTOR2 (SLAMDUNK!) and its been rumoured for a little while now. welcome to the forums btw.

50 is still pretty new :)

and of course bio will be involved, probably more in a consultants role but it'll be developed by obsidian. kind of like the deal between bis and lionheart.

What we know is that Obsidian is working with BioWare on a cross platform title. A KOTOR sequel seems like a no-brainer.

However, Feargus (or MCA, can't remember) recently mentioned that Obsidian's first title wouldn't be a crazy BioWare "collaboration" (read: BIS does the work and Bio puts their name on the box, much like in Baldur's Gate but vice-versa). Their first game will still be a cross platform thing and I still suspect it'll be KOTOR2, but it might not be.

Anyways, if you're reading this, Feargus, MCA: MAKE BASTILA LESS OF A WHINY BITCH!
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

Hell how about making the dark side campaign (GET READY FOR SHOCK) completely different from the light side campaign!!! (which would include dark side NPCs!!!)

Oh and if I come upon my allies fighting my enemies PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME FUCKING SIT AND WATCH A VIDEO TIL THEY'RE ALL DEAD WHEN I COULD HAVE BEEN DOWN THE RAMP AND FORCE WAVED THE FUCKNUTS IN UNDER 10 SECONDS. K THX BYE.

While we're at it, let's have more than one important decision (as in there's actually some consequence to it) to be made in the game, and let's not place it twenty minutes before the game's finale.

Obsidian's first solo project is CEO's Gone Wild, apparently.

What you mentioned, Killzig, the ramp thing - man, that pissed me off greatly. I wonder what possessed Bioware to force in-game cutscenes like that on the gamer. They could have at least made it make sense - like "the door is jammed! A Sith is blocking it with telekinesis!" and Jolee goes into a meditative trance to unblock the door. Meanwhile, you watch the Jedi getting slaughtered. That'd have made sense, at least.
