The only good car is a foreign car (to those of us in America). The Japs and Krauts make 'em a lot better. To my taste, there hasn't been that many good cars made in America since the 70's. However, if you go back that far, 50's-70's, America reigns supreme.
they dont make them better. they make them so they sell cheaper and cost shitloads to fix. and they are ugly.
Again I agree!

Well that is true, if it is RAINING. Big-block engines do not help cornering on such vehicles much, but it is not THAT bad. In the hands of a capable driver, an old musclecar can do some pretty amazing things. The fact that they are very good at drag racing should be indicative of their racing "specialty".

Show me some statistics to prove those figures. Also, before I start bashing on the engine too much, answer me this: Is it a four cylinder or V6, and how many cubic inches does it displace?
And before I forget, through what kind of testing were those performance figures attained? Was the engine itself tested on a dyno, or the whole car? If it was the former, then you can expect very reduced numbers when you test the car to see how much horsepower and torque goes to the tires (front wheels in this case, I presume?).
Also, HOW were those figures attained? dual-turbocharging, supercharging, or some other unheard-of method? I of course assume that the engine was not naturally-aspirated at the time of the testing.
And as for your last comment, I agree with it. Nitrous oxide is the poor-man's way of getting more performance out of his car. The fact that it is widely used by the ricer crowd is also not lost on me.

Since you respect good 'ole musclecars (or at least you say you do), I will, in good faith, show some (but not much!) respect for your beloved imports. I do acknowledge that they can be made to go very fast, and COULD have quite a bit of power, if tuned properly.
EDIT:
Since we are talking about Mustangs, How about this pair?
Check this one out:
That's the last thing that members of the Luftwaffe saw when flying in WWII. See the .50 caliber machine guns?
