Spray Source

Post by Jimmyjay86 »

I recently got a message from a guy named Dak who is working on adding new features to Spray. He got the source code from Domin and should get a new version put together soon I hope. In the meantime, I got permission from Domin to have the source code available for download. If there is anyone else interested in playing with it, find it here:

Damn, Thanks for that JJ86!
Hope we have something, especially in moding the sprite faces.

Delphi. Much as I'd like to do it in VB, Spray was wrote in Delphi. To change it over would take a while.

Welcome to the DaC M&M&MR forum, Dak! We always welcome people who can write programs we can use to make cool stuff with! :)

At the darkness inside.
Our emotions always find us
Regardless of where we hide.

Cool. I can even process it. But damn, I have Delphi 1,2,3 and not a clue how to work with it. good thing it's as easy as VB. I'm staring to learn building code next week, so maybe they'll teach Delphi as well.

Cheers,

Thanks for the welcome. Hopefully I can get the changes made I'm working on. Right now I'm stepping thur the code and documenting it. I've been a member of the DAC forum back when it was on "Game Spy", I think. I just have never posted before. I did put up the map "Raiders Layer" but that was sometime ago. Any way, hopefully will have some good news shortly.

Well I can't see why not... the shame of it all is that these days there aren't really that much people on the forums... Just us die hards.

Just a quicky... I've seen some previews from my team members who are working on the new maps... and it looks pretty good so I hope to be able to post some soon...

I'll keep ya'll informed...

As for Dak...

Show us some man... :D We're dying to see more and more people with skill :eyebrow:

As I come to think of it... If we would combine all our skills, knowledge, idea's and dedication we could actually make something together... I mean, we can combine out work, story's, everything... All together we're just as smart as interplay ( :chainsaw: ) :joy: :giggle:

Let's build our own Fallout game :eyebrow:

Is there any sprite editor to use in the meantime that can import vehicle/infantry sprites?

Also, what program would you use to create 3D models for FOT?

I've thought about it and asked other guys here, but schedules don't work out. also most want to publish some of their own projects. this could take a Looong time(FoO for instance has taken me ages so I've halted it). Most modders(with exceptions) are around their 30's or more, so there are problems with domestic life as well.

Plus we'd have other probs. Like different mapping styles etc. Very difficult to make it work. I have 5 things I wanna do for instance. And though I have thought all of the things I wanna do for FO, I wanna do them first. And who's to say we'd agree on the way it's going? Wait till I release my BoS map and see then what i think of it. we could be 100% opposing in our views.

That said I do have 3 Map Rats promise that they'd help once I'm up to do this.

Cheers,
