That was exactly my reaction when someone posted the article in #Fallout today. Honestly, they've been living just fine without any meddling and now they're being dragged of to the city as human guinea pigs pretty much. Didn't any of these people read Brave New World?

They really didnt need to move. If you read the follow up article, they explain that the children were possibly handicapped, and they already stated that the move was severely traumatic for them. The move was completely unnecessary, as the man was treating his family well, just not to the "modern" standard. Besides, the children were obviously off to a bad start because of a lack a sacred snake.

It's kind of sad. The decision seems arbitrary; they're not in anybody's way. There's nothing wrong with people who have a "back to nature" lifestyle, so, frankly, who cares if some people take that to the next level and live as monkeys.

Actually, it's immensely satisfying and fun to do rock stacking like that. I don't know why, but it is, trust me. I did this a lot when I was hiking in Death Valley. It seems like the kind of thing that would become very stressful very fast, but it's strangely stress-relieving. I think it has to do with the fact that you have to completely 100% focus on balancing the rocks, and everything else is put out of your mind for a while.
