I do learn to deal with it, and I do. I, my self, am quite clean. However, what is commonly considered reality is not ENTIRELY unescapable, I believe. As I have commonly noticed reality to be defined by people, reality is what is around you that you believe to be real. In others reality, you will be looked at as insane, but you'll be a genious to yourself.. so I supose that isn't so much escaping reality as to jumping into a different one, eh? Hmm...

I'm all for drug use. If you want to fuck up your own mind and body for a few cheap laughs, just go ahead and fucking do it. Just as long as you aren't fucking over anyone else while you go at it, it's all fine and dandy in my book. I've had some of the best times of my life on illegal drugs, and whats even better is that I can recall most of it to this day. I've had shitty times and I've had some fucking fantastic life changing times. Good with bad, it all balances out in the end, as I see it. It's all life experience.

Of course the key is moderation, if you do anything too much it's going to fuck you up. Drugs just tend to rest at the more extreme end of that scale. Know your limits, know where to draw the line. You go too far and you start having a negative impact on people other than yourself, well thats when you need to sit down and think about quitting.

That's your opinion though. I wouldn't consider you superior to say William Burroughs. Mabye even 4too, though it hasn't been clarified if he takes any drugs or if he's godlike normally B)

I don't really think it's escapism anyway, just entertainment. And I don't see what's wrong with a little escapism if your life fucking sucks. Cheers.

Not really. Movies, books, TV, internet and the like are all escapism. You become an observer or someone you're not. In any case, your perception of reality is altered. When exposed to different things, your brain undergoes different chemical reactions - you know, pleasure centers and the like. Drugs, while often a bit more extreme, are no different.

Oh yeah, l33t d00d right there... not a slave to the masses, but he'll follow that new l33t trend. I know plenty of people that smoke casually with eachother just to kick back, no peer pressure involved. They've known eachother a while, both of em' like to.

you mean there are other people in canada other than the dominating liberals and the PC sluts who are for big business?
anyways i thought it made plenty of sense. you goto school dont you? you see everyone in a certain social group acting the EXACT same way. i cant tell you how many groups of people i see always wearing polo shirts or gap shirts or garbage like that. now thats following the masses. most chicks even act the same. example - "i was like, wow, a purse for 6 dollars and i get skanky looking lipstick for half price!1!!!!!1!!!"
