Pointless Advice Wanted.
So I want to move out. And get out of this horrible wasteland. I'm only 17 and I have no job, no money, but I have a car...and my parents won't co-sign because I fail algebra. So what do I do?

I can't spell this word, but there are a couple ways to get amancepated, yes? For a house and money, such, start asking around. You can probably find a job, and you'll need one. Talk to people. People are good. People sometimes need room mates. Ask around, you should find somebody that knows someone. All else fails for money... buy some little joints since they sell low, then sell high to dumb freshman.

Why should your parents help finance you, when you're showing absolutely no responsibility?
Get a job.

Find a friend or three and rent out an apartment/house and make sure everyone has at least some sort of cash flow coming in. It's really cheap if you work as a team, but if people decide to start being lazy and playing Everquest all day expecting you to pay for rent it totally won't work.
I know a guy that did it with another guy, but the guy chose the route of smoking weed all day instead of actively looking for a job and they got evicted and the other one spent all of his money on drugs to sell and they got stolen so he had no money.
Waiting a year might be hard, but just do what I do and never hang around your house. Go to other people's houses. Spend the night for two weeks at their house if your parents don't mind. Fuck, who cares if they do mind? You're bored and you hate them and it won't really change much if you get in trouble.

This sentence has thirty-two letters.
Pope_Viper said it best, jokes aside, straighten up and don't be so angsty. You're angry, frustrated, think your parents are out to get you but really no. You're at that age where 'ideally' responsibility is supposed to creep up and you start taking things a tad bit more seriously.
Having a roof over your head is the biggest thing you don't have to worry about, and you have a car, sheesh, which is already more than a lot of people. Take advantage of that resource, get a job, save some money, and more than ANYTHING, figure out what you want to do with the rest of your life. Seriously. With help( your parents ) you can take chances, experiment with different ideas without worrying about how you're going to pay rent, bills, buy food. Roommates are NOT the answer on any level...its not magical bro.
What you're interested in is the LONG term, like business...don't get wrapped up in the short-term shit where you're angry so you feel moving out right this moment will make you feel better. In the LONG term, you benefit from not worrying about rent, bills, food, and can start 'establishing' your independence...don't dive in. If you're unable to get a job right now and are failing algebra, what makes you think it'll be better when you have MORE to worry about.
Think on it.
Cheers

Math isn't part of EVERYTHING.. I don't solve for pie much when I write a paper. I barely passed highschool algebra, but I scored over 70% of the SAT takers on English, so I'm still relatively well off. Luckily, that test didn't have spelling on it. Poor math skills are becoming a staple in my area, though, so it's no great surprize. And there's always philosophy!

Hehe, you must have a very different highschool. Then again, the teachers for math at my school suck.. it's pathetic. Even people that are good at math that I know get thrown when these people try to explain it.. they draw during class because they can't concentrate on the work when the teachers talk.

I didn't give a shit about math in high school and I still managed to get B's. It was my worst subject, and I got a B, and I am most definitely an idiot.
Everyone that I know that failed HS math or had tons of trouble either was borderline retarded or a stupid dumbfuck that could do the work, but decided to 'rebel' or whatever and managed to somehow fail. Seriously, failing HS math is something you have to work at. The teachers don't want to see the same student over and over again, they want you out of their hair.
Listen, the longer you go without putting a little effort into life, the longer you'll have to live at home or in your car. Do the work, pass HS, get a job, and get the money to get someplace to live. Simple as that. All the people I know that didn't pass HS are either living with their parents and have no friends(because they all moved away to go to college or work), are in jail or in rehab.
The last option you have is to just live at home and make friends with the next batch of HS students. Younger kids will think you are cool, and they will be your only hope because everyone your age will think you are a loser.

Math used to be my really strong point, but then in high school one of my teachers was "sick" for the whole year and we had new subs every couple of weeks throughout the year. The next teacher was teaching at teh school for over like 20-30, the the school first came out, and he was one of the worst I have ever seen. I swear the class was about how to use your caculator and get teh answers, rather than understanding the concept. On his tests he would grade partial credit if you showed your work even though you got it wrong, so say if a question was worth 5 points and you were completely wrong and didnt even have the right process then you could get 2/5 if u showed ur work. I just put a whole bunch of random numbers and equations down on each test and would score in the 60-70%, with no caculator on a test that requires a caculator. I actually didnt have a caculator the whole year, heh. So that was 2 years of math I pretty much totally missed.

You've got me pegged right there. I did occasional work and showed how I did it, as Pooper said, and I passedTayl wrote:Seriously, failing HS math is something you have to work at. The teachers don't want to see the same student over and over again, they want you out of their hair.
