Well, has anyone seen it? If yes, what is your verdict?

I saw it, because I heard that it was pretty gruesome.
It is.
It definately ranks right up next to some of my horror film favourites as far as violence, and beats out the old low budget movies in quality. Jesus didn't just die for his sins, he got his ass handed to him for them.
The preaching part was pretty stupid. And I feel bad for snickering as Jesus gets Cat o' Nine Tailed around all the devout old people who stopped being shutouts for one night to watch their savior die, but, it was class violence I couldn't help it.
Yea those are my several cents.
It is.

The nailing was pretty well done. The part where the Cat o' Nine Tails gets caught and rips off his skin is sweet too. And I loved the fact that the blood was all over the place when they were done. Sure there weren't any chainsaws or anything... but y'know, with what they had to work with, I think they did a pretty good job making it violent.

well he is religious - deeply so - but the movie itself might be good for MM4, that is as long as MM4 gets as hardnecked as the Jesus movie, and doesn't fall totally into the hollywood category - and looses some of the religious agenda, and alas gets made in the first place, this movie might have helped it get it on.Bridgeburner wrote:mel should be doing mad max 4 instead of wasting his time on this religious crap
the not loosing to hollywood part is very important, or I'll probably wont watch it jah.
