Apology

Post by Nuka-Cola »

In regards to my posts in the "submit news" section, I apologize for any complication or confusion they may have made due to my lack of forum posting skills. It's been quite a long time since I have posted anything online, dating back to the early prodigy period.

You are forgiven my son. Take what you have learned, and may God go with you.

Err, actually I have no fucking clue what you did to warrant an apology. From what your post described, it seems as if you posted in the wrong forum or something? Well in that case who cares; you gave the Moderators some work to do.

Nuka-Cola again

Post by Nuka-Cola »

Well... I'm kindof afraid to post in any other place, so I think it would be ok to do it here, I'll just repeat what I said in the ill placed message. I was going to make nuka cola. Really. A cola drink in a light blue bottle of my own creation. The only thing I need is a small bit of money for ingredients. But before I do that, and stand the risk of having a ministorage full of bottles of soda, I was wondering if anyone would think it a good idea. It's been increasingly difficult to find 12 oz light blue bottles with a pop off cap. I've only come close with 8 oz, if that's ok with people. Also, any suggestions on how to get my message out among the FO fans and soforth would be appreciated.

Most hardcore FO fans can be found here, and at NMA.
Are you actually serious about producing Nuka-Cola? You seem to know what youre talking about, but what about distribution? Ill definitely buy a few bottles if they actually resemble the product from the game.

Distribution and Pepsi Blue

Post by Nuka-Cola »

I'm going to address the last two replies in this one. First off, Pepsi blue does NOT look like Nuka-Cola. The cola itself in the game is a dark brown color, just like any other, but the bottle is blue. This is not the case with Pepsi blue, in which they made the actual drink blue. Look at the icon in FO 1 and 2 and you'll see what I mean. Trust me, I've spent alot of time staring at the icons. On the topic of distribution, I could ship them around the united states, International shipping of anything has been and always will be kinda tricky for me, and expensive for the person ordering it. I think for the reasons of finance I could only ship a 6 bottles at the least, just like you would buy at a store, but if people would like cases of the stuff, I would be glad to send em out. Also, I would need a few... "beta testers" I could send prototypes too. (for free, of course) :drunk:

Well, I'm coming out of a long hibernation, but I'd like to say that'd I'd be happy to be a tester if you don't mind shipping a sample to Conway Arkansas.

I would really enjoy being a beta tester, and with me living in Washington, shipping wouldn't take that long.

Not to mention it screws up the page format.

I've adjusted the avatar. That one was an old one, from when I posted on the boards 2 years ago. Hope this one isn't 'tacky'.

Looks good from here. It wasn't that the picture was bad mind you, its just that it was so huge that it looks.....out of place. That one looks fine...who is it of?

That's Ian Curtis. He was the lead singer of Joy Division, my favorite band. Sadly, he commited suicide just as they were starting to become big. You should check them out. They recorded in the late 70's, but they sound very modern. Start off by downloading 'Shadowplay', that one's a pretty good starting point.

PS- after he died, the surving members off the band went on to form New Order, but they changed their sound and musical direction out of respect for him. They still had elements of the sound, but were poppier and a incorporated a lot of the British 80's 'synth rock' sound that was just starting to come into vouge

Well, great! I think I'll start ordering the supplies I need within the week then. And as for the avatar, sorry it's so big, I'll just get rid of it.
