Fallout 2 in the best-game-title fight at Gamespy.

Fallout 2 was chosen to compete against several other games to win the crown at Gamespy. It has just beaten Baldur's Gate 2 in a hard-fought clash.
If you feel like supporting Fallout 2, go and vote here
on the folowing days:
March 16 (Vs Diablo 2), Mar24 (Vs Starcraft or Warcraft 3), Mar31;
April 2 (probably aginst Half Life, if we get there), Apr5 (the great final)
Obviously whether Fallout 2 appears in consequent matches or not depends on who wins in each of them, so don't be surprised if you go voting only for the final and Fallout 2 isn't there.

It's just another poll. I'm sure everyone respects your appreciation of the series and your desire to push Fallout, we've all seen these polls before.

The other fanbases will win, and if they don't, they'll probably put up a petition to over-rule Fallout 2's victory.

About as much micromanagement as... well... something not very micromanagable

. Regardless, I liked the game simply because I think it has an excellent plot and <strike>one</strike> <i>the</i> best vision of the Orc race ever done to my knowledge.

I found the plot laughable, personally.

But yeah, I agree with the Orcs. Orcs in most games are simply dumped in with little to no culteral/aesthatic appeal.

All Warcraft games had a dumb plot, though that's no excuse for Blizzard, especially since Starcraft's plot was actually pretty good.

I know that I myself play a lot of other games beside Fallout and even though my loyalty is to fallout I consider myself to be a fan of other games. My pointÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s being 1. Except maybe Quake 3 fanÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s who I have had first hand in dealing with and yes they do tend to have a drooling slack jawed follow the group approach (but they are the only oneÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s who come to mind.

Taking that seriously and representative of one entire community is what's actually weak-minded, because it shows you can't separate one individuals' actions from the group he/she is in.

Just because a few members of those communities are idiots, I'm not saying that they're ALL idiots. It's just common to find a larger amount of n00bs and assclowns on a forum for a FPS like Half-Life than on a Fallout or Hitman forum. The Quake community is significantly worse than Half-Life's, but Counter-Strike seems to have changed that.

Yea, I hate the fanbases of the following games (for various reasons):
Blizzard games (the hardcore asshats and noobs)
HALO (foolish and biased console players are blinded by a little of a good thing.)
Counter-Strike (noobs are annoying, but the hackers are so abundant and arrogant that this game has gone to the shitter)

It sucks that fo2 is now matched up with the ever popular diablo2. In my mind, fallout will beat them all, or tie with some of the great ones. But who cares about the idiots at gamespy and their crappy polls anyway?

Care factor?

Guess what. Alot of people play other games too (SHOCK HORROR!). And maybe some of us do visit...other forums and see other fan bases. And it just so happens that alot of other fanbases are filled with absolute toss bags that shouldn't be given access to daddy's internet connection.

Nobody's fucking hacking. I'm so sick of people bitching about hackers in CS, I would estimate that about 1 person out of every 1000 people actually hack.

If you think someone's hacking, then you are the true noob. Whenever someone shows some amount of skill, it's "HAKCER OMG!" "BAN HIM" "LOOK OMG HES HACKING".

Instead of bitching because you suck, learn how to play the fucking game instead.

sorry for off topic, but this threa is anyway going astray, is this true that in CS you can accurately aim and shoot with a snipe rifle WITHOUT using the scope/ironsight/whatever? I mean headshots when holding your sniper rifle by your hip?

Well, because you don't have a cross-hair (by default) on the screen doesn't mean you couldn't somehow overcome it (heck, you can spit in middle of the screen and aim there!).

Not only does it do that, but quick switching (its a program or whatever) drops reload time to nil so you can all but rapid fire your AWP and have a headshot party.

It's not a program. You just bind "previous weapon" to a key (q is usually default). It's completly legit.

There is/was (I dunno anymore) a thing that a lot of people ran in the background that did it automatically every time the AWP fired. Kind of like the weapon-buy binds that so many people use, but way more lame.

Maybe my memory just sucks? Regardless. I just remember people spewing out AWP headshots like there was no tomorrow.

But I ended them with a well placed shot from the Scout. There was a fun gun.
