Yeah, and they need to stop getting those dorky scienticians to dress up as soljahs.

'US Army' would look good up the thigh, that or some Transformers stickers.

Yeah, something about that outfit would make an opponent think "Shoot me, I'm a geek."

If they could get an entire suit developed though [even if it looks as ugly as it does on the lower body] we would finally have some realization of POWAH ARMOR.

And then the Australian Army would have to wait ten years for our current POWAH ARMOUR (pictured below with the M113A1) to be mothballed before we could get our hands on BLEEX.

Actually, since the weight is on your back, you'd probably fall backwards (as per the laws of physics) and land on top of your pack, and just detach yourself from the POWAH ARMOUR so you can continue gunning down Skinnies/peeling potatoes unhindered.

Also, you speak as though the ALICE Pack (or whatever it is called) is heavy enough to crush a fully-grown man. Just because the soldier would be able to carry much more doesn't mean that they'd load him up.

Well the whole thing [the lower body exoskeleton and the rucksack] weighs in at around 160 or so pounds, so even if something failed it wouldn't absolutely crush you.

But if we're developing POWAH ARMOUR, that means someone out there is developing ENCLAVE ARMOUR. OMG +1 strength!

Anyway. I think Silver has a point... but taking into consideration that you can carry all that stuff easily, you wont trip and fall. But there is always the option of being pushed somehow? Well. Your point is useless for a "true" power armor anyway (one with armor layers).

The "pushing/falling over" thingy can be overcome if they expand this exoskeleton to the upper body as well. Then if you fall on your back or face, you could push yourself back up with your arms.
