No, f2 did have aliens in it. Those were the weird looking things with tentacles for weapons you came across in some underground resort. Later on they would bother you on your way to NCR in random encouters as well.
Sometimes an atomic weapon is just an atomic weapon, ja?
If there are aliens in FO3, they won't be like the FO2 aliens. Even some of the BIS people who worked on the game didn't care much for the aliens in FO2.
Plus, they aren't aliens, they're genetically engineered fighters. And their biological "clocks" were set to exterminate them all around the time of FO2, so those were some of the last Aliens in the world...
but aren't ghouls and mutants 'aliens' to human culture?
perhaps you are referering to extra-terrestial creatures?
but what about orbital lab-cultivated life form which made their way back on earth, like the Replicants?
They werent really xenomorphs ( beings from another planet ) they were engineered fighters made from before the nuke war, just like FEV. and yes, the fallout biblr said that they only had another 5 or 6 years left..

Which begs the question, why wasn't there evidence of them in West Tek or Mariposa in Fallout.
I think the east was where the majority of the nukes hit, so it would just be sinkholes and puddles of green waste. Too wastelandy of a wasteland, you'd walk over and just sort of melt.
Shadowvalor wrote:Who's to say they were engineered at either of these two places. Fallout covers a reasonably small part of the United States. There is still the east.
If they were FEV creations, they were either from West Tek or Mariposa.
Exactly. But they were genetically engineered, not FEV-mutated. Big difference. But they didn't belong, but at least we now have a good reason why they return either!
Saint P whose to say they wernt egineered at other areas in the west tek facility, it being the largest research base for the US millitary it must have been bigger the the 5 levels you see. Encompasing multi story office blocks above ground and countless other bunkers. I had always envisaged the FEV area on that bunker the lab where FEV was first created, the tests being carried out in another specialist testing area.
There is however the Roswell crash site in Fallout where you get the alien blaster and than in Fallout 2 there would be the skelton of what looks to be an alien...it had a large cranium and a very small body!
It would be neet to see the "other vaults" on the east coast and thent to have all of the cities FO1 style... no neo york or some stuff like that...
(we can be a bit more original can't we?)
What about a vault that is trapped underwater! Say the tidal wave came and buried it...so the occupants turned to left over digging machines to dig their way out of the place. But they found out they can't get out just by going up...then they find their way to the main land and all. 8)

WASTELANDY? I see ur point but take cuba into example, 1950's SOVIET nukes could hit anywhere up to Seattle so, LA could be a Wastelandy place 2. Also China started the nuke war with the US right? so China would launch NUKES FROM BEIJINN and INTO LA!
