more computer hep: partitions

How do I make a partition without formatting?

I've used 52gb out of a 140gb hd, I could probably shrink it down a bit more if I needed. I don't want to format though as it's annoying trying to get all your settings back to black COMPRENDAY?

I don't think you can. Such is the nature of the grim world of partitioning.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

Well, yeah, if you want to buy some asshole's program. Real men just use the command prompt, which doesn't very much like doing this kind of thing.

You can probably find a trial version of partition magic that will let you do it once, the program is very easy to use too. You can always use FDISK but you will have to format.

Yeah, partition magic is a professional level utility. You can count on it.

Partition Magic has saved my ass so many times it's not even funny.

It's definitely by far the best partitioning program on the market.
